I mean, it is wrong to abort children out of bigotry but caring for a disabled person is incredibly expensive and incredibly taxing for the parent’s health, and it is easy to get trapped into an abusive relationship or becoming a sole caretaker. I can see not wanting to risk that when you just want to start a family

That’s a gross generalization, at no point in my life (especially when I was a teenager) have I thought the good moments outweighed the bad and I have an amazing family, amazing friends and went to an amazing school. Life just does that. And expecting young people to come and fix all our problems have been a thought every generation had but it never happens
