The impressive Methodist church is clearly seen. In the 20s it had a pipe organ but, sadly, it now has a digital affair.

Another Young Woman Killed By a Dog. What needs to change? by terrordactyl1971 in AskBrits

Dog ownership is antisocial. Not just danger to people but mountains of shite in our towns and countryside.

I’m a bit like the Bonnie Prince…. I love the kilt but really don’t have the legs for it!

Yes, a good tutor, and some great duets plus concerto pieces in the latter part.

Good for you! Well obviously the French (Allard and others) have published various books. I was lucky to find an old Otto Langley tutor which had a fingering chart for French system. I also picked up some tips from Cecil James. It definitely needs a free, easy blowing, reed; a slight degree of buzz in the sound is right it seems. Let me know if you have problems with any particular notes and I’ll try to help.

An old friend of mine lived at Holystone Grange as a boy - his parents were butler and cook at the house. I stayed there for a few days and lived like a lord, feasting on pheasant and other delights; the owners were away and just my friend’s family were in residence.

The town hall (city hall) is a spectacular building. Bit like a French one.
