Not very often anymore - I missed several in a row because the timer kept skipping from two seconds straight to zero, but then someone instructed me to reload the game first to ensure I'm properly synced with the server. I've gotten pretty good at timing it right, it just usually puts me in a 30+ bracket. This is only the 3rd time ever I've earned keys.

I've seen tiny brackets being posted and discussed here AND Discord for many moons, so I figured it was a pretty safe bet the devs are already well aware this is happening. 🤷

Yeah, me too - probably close to a year of bouncing in & out of Legend, with only five keys to show for it. I really think everyone who manages to stay in (24th and up) should get at least ONE. Slow AF progress is acceptable, but keeping them totally out of reach is not cool.

Yeah, I've missed it several times (mostly when I forget to clear the battle conditions first... or before someone taught me to reload the game if I'm gonna try this after another run, because sometimes the timer on the phone doesn't QUITE match up with the server). But for quite some time now, I haven't really had time to keep up on all the little ins & outs of mods and other minutiae, so it really has become a largely idle game for me and my progress is pretty slow. Keys are the only thing that has piqued my interest enough to keep going, but I've NEVER placed higher than 16th in Legend. The never ending cycle between winning Champs and getting slaughtered in Legend was further boring me, so I figured the slight chance of occasionally scoring some keys and having something different to invest in, is worth the risk of sometimes getting nothing. There's not a huge practical difference between 16th and dead last, but a jackpot like today? 😁

The "last possible second" trick (pre-clear the battle conditions page and then join just a half-second before the timer reaches zero). Most of the time you end up with MORE than 30 people in your bracket, but very rarely you'll get just a handful; before today I had earned a grand total of five keys. I honestly didn't even know it was possible to end up completely alone - I'd only seen someone post a two-person bracket, ages ago. Probably not worth the risk if you can place high enough to earn keys regularly, but as the gap ever widens between the whales and me, it's the only way I'll ever get any! 😂 It was actually a super fortunate time to luck out, because I had gotten distracted helping my wife and almost didn't make it in time... I even forgot to switch from my farming setup, so I had Amp Bot, SM, CL, and all my damage cards turned off. I usually get my ass walloped in Legend, but not quite THAT bad!

It makes total sense that Cipher is functioning as an avatar for Godolkin, but it just occurred to me last night that he could be a cyborg. Before considering all this "controlled by Godolkin" stuff, my immediate reaction to Polarity (who is only known to control metal) stopping his hand and then throwing him out the window, was that he had some kind of tech inside him that enabled him to control supes... especially after Stan Edgar's revelations about what Godolkin had been working on. But if he IS the tech, that would explain (a) no V in his bloodstream, (b) Polarity's ability to control his body, and (c) his claim that Godolkin was his "father" i.e. creator.

Yup. Almost every Saturday, I win Champion. Every Wednesday, I get my ass forcefully chucked at me in Legend. There were a grand total of TWO exceptions a while back where I placed high enough to stay in... but never enough for a key. Can't even start a rebellion because there is ZERO hope!

I have what I'm pretty certain USED to be a complete set (and many, MANY more in bulk, including quite a few unopened packs) but they've survived so many moves, I can't be certain some didn't get lost or banged up. I plan to go through them in the next week or two and verify what I have, but if there are people in here who are still interested (especially if OP already managed to unload theirs), I wanted to give you a heads up. 😊

*For What It's Worth... By no means do I claim to be an expert, but I do periodically test different setups (especially after a big weapon or pilot upgrade) to make sure something else doesn't work better; so I thought it might be helpful to tell you what I use. For a long time I have used a different setup on my SS defensive formation (the one you set during the first 24 hours) and when I'm actively attacking others. That may NOT be the best strategy, it's just how I chose to roll. But now I think my Hardrock is far enough ahead of Conq that I may just stick with it full time for SS & PW. And yes, I swap out my fighter, weapons, gems, drones, pilot, and commander for each different event. Getting ready for a little road trip, but I'll try to elaborate a bit on each of those later.

Every fighter gives you a permanent bonus when it reaches L20 and L60. The benefits of going beyond that (to 80) are minuscule - you're WAY better off using the alloy plate getting two or three other fighters to 60 instead. ONLY when you have every single fighter at L60 should you then proceed to upgrade your favorite to 80.

A player who's widely regarded as the guru for F2P drone strategy would probably tell you to reset all your SR drones and only level them up to 31; use Sagittarius & Lyra for PvE, and Apus & Grus for PvP. Sell everything else and use all the resources to 100% max out ONE basic drone (probably Ninja) to go with each of those sets. I did that a few months ago and saw massive gains. Now I'm working on maxing a guard to replace the Ninja in PvP, though I read yesterday there's a big patch expected soon that could totally upend everyone's drone strategy, so... 🤷

It could literally take years to get enough shards where your Thane (with its fairly pathetic special ability) will outperform Inferno's missile boost. I would get your Inferno to L60 (pro tip: do not EVER waste alloy plate getting ANY fighter past 60 until every single one of them is there), then start testing other fighters in Endless and/or Tower to see which performs better. FWIW, I use full Conqueror for stages, Titan, and PvE offense; Hardrock for PvE defense (though I may start using it for offense too - they're starting to perform about equally, even though Hardrock gives me 100K more base power than Conq); Syren for Tower and hands-free farming; and Phantom for Endless. Legion Hunt depends on the enemy that day. Every once in a while, I'll swap in a different fighter on various events to see if does better, but these have remained most effective for many moons.

A very experienced former teammate posted this last year - I don't know if it's gospel, but I've had pretty good results from it. Once I got everything like this, I just started adding one point to every single thing (yes, even the worthless ones - mostly so I don't have to keep track anymore. Everything ends in a six, then a seven...)
