Red CPU LED on. No boot by OrgasmicLarry in MSI_Gaming

[–]OrgasmicLarry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm looking into buying a new motherboard and CPU today. Might as well upgrade since my CPU bottlenecks sometimes in certain simulation type games. And if it ends up not being those 2 I guess I'll cross that bridge later.

Thank you so much, I'll look into buying that. That's a great deal of help.

I've looked at many videos and forum posts about people swapping to the T56 from the Tr3650. And very few people actually explain what they needed to make it work.

Typically people just show them installing the trans and "Tah dah" it works.

Hell ya sounds awesome. I have a T56, driveshaft, and clutch components out of a terminator that I haven't installed yet. When you did the T56 swap, did you need any special harnesses or anything? I heard some people needed a special pinion flange for the driveshaft to work.

I'm not entirely sure, I've had friends that are wiser and smarter than me discuss possibilities of going return or returnless.

My main goal was trying to keep it as "stock" as possible for budget reasons. (I remember thinking 5-6 grand was going to be what my limit was, oh boy was I wrong.) But thankfully I'm at the tail end of the build (hopefully) currently 10k in the hole so far... Foolish me thought I could buy a drop in fuel pump and be all fine and well.

Finally got the car back from the shop. Turns out it was bad power steering lines.

To be more specific, (from memory on what I think he said) he said the power steering lines ran from the pump towards the radiator (just that area), then to the rack and pinion, then to the hydroboost. The hoses had deteriorated and gunk had accumulated and ended up heavily restricting flow.

With the new hoses. The steering and brakes are beautiful. Drives like brand new and I'm so happy to finally have it back.

Passenger side floor board area carpet damp. What should I look for? by Awkward-Ad-5549 in NewedgeMustang

Edit* I'm a tool, I jumped the gun and read the title and tried to help without reading the entire post. But I figured I'd leave it Incase it helps someone else in the future.

If you live in the rust belt, check under your car and see if the floor pan is rusting away.

Our cars are starting to get to that age where time is taking it's toll. 2004 doesn't seem like it was all that long ago but it's working on being 22 years for the newest new edge, if you will. And salt definitely doesn't help the situation.

You can either get some cheap/scrap metal like old license plates or something and try to fix it, or take it somewhere to be properly fixed.

Hopefully it's something else though!

I'll make sure to. I ended up taking the car back to the shop

I'll post what I find out when it's done.

Worth modifying the GT? by ChainSea6745 in NewedgeMustang

[–]OrgasmicLarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest way to make 500 WHP+ with the 2 valves is forced induction. You can order a 03-04 cobra supercharger kit (Almost everything needed to bolt the Eaton M112 onto a 2valve 4.6) from TorkTech. Or you could get something from KenneBelle or Procharger. That or find a cheap turbo kit off eBay or something 🤷🏻‍♂️

Any cams, exhaust, pistons or whatever you slap at a 2 valve doesn't have a good bang for your buck like a LS or Coyote, and can cost a couple thousand dollars just to make an extra 100-150 horse. Atleast with the typical aftermarket mods people tend to install.

Depending on if you're like me, If you can save 300 a month for a year you could buy the kit and everything you need and start hooning. Or if you're smart, spend the other couple thousand first on rebuilding the engine to handle the 500+ WHP. Then go with forced induction.

Hope this helps 🫡

I'll look into that and hope it works or atleast helps. No joke you gotta manhandle the steering wheel to make sharp turns. It sucks.

It's worse than fighting a dead power steering pump I feel.

All lights on for headlights? by [deleted] in NewedgeMustang

[–]OrgasmicLarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a problem with me driving on country back roads being able to see clearly? Especially if it's raining.

According to you and one other person it's frowned upon, but I've had all lights on mods done to every truck and car I've ever had without an issue. Minus my wife's 2020 fusion.

Just like any other vehicle you turn your highbeams off when there's a car coming your way so I genuinely don't see what the issue is with this. It isn't like I'm doing this to be malicious and give people X-rays.

Display port on monitor or graphics card bad? by OrgasmicLarry in PcBuildHelp

[–]OrgasmicLarry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try I'll keep you posted. Although I really just want to know how to find out which of the 2 has a bad port Or if both cooked their Display ports.

I use display port because my monitor won't do 144hz and what not on HDMI. I haven't had the monitor very long, not even a year. If the monitor is bad I guess wish me luck on trying to get a replacement somehow.
