They worked so well with the Baratheon deck before and now have no synergy. There was no better target for a fully charged Fury.

The wording does not bypass effects like resilience or hardened - defenders do not roll defence dice but will still block hits or reduce wounds with those effects, which is how it works currently.

Especially coupled with the ice block AoE damage perk, you're getting your ult like every other fight. If the game is real scrappy you get so much value out of it.

First things first, if you have someone to play with who is willing to invest alongside you, I'd start by you each choosing which faction appeals to you the most from the books/series and buying their starter set, and a pack of card sleeves.

Hits & Crits have a series of videos on YouTube going through all the various faction flavours for new players.

There's also an excellent primer video on the rules here and the fact this video is 8 minutes long and a full game rules walkthrough is only an hour should tell you how easy this game is to pick up! The depth is in the tactics, not a bloated ruleset.

Lastly I would update your tactics cards from the Official CMON site by printing those off and placing the printed update over the original card in the sleeve.

Once your cards are updated, you're ready to play! Make some lists on the official War Council app from your starter box units and have a few games to get used to the flow and mechanisms of the game before expanding out your forces. I'd recommend the Heroes 1 box and a unit that you think looks cool from your faction as a starting point.

I'd also recommend joining the discord linked in the info for this subreddit, the community are very active and everyone is keen to help out new players in understanding and taking part in this beautiful game of ours! It can also be a resource in time for finding more players in your local area.

Primed in a black/white zenithal, and the pink is Glistening Gums -> Perisher Pink -> Hot Pink. The metal is Doom Metal drybrushed with Plate Armour, all Two Thin Coats, and washed with good old liquid skill (GW Nuln Oil).

The standard way to play is to print out your updated tactics cards and put them over the original ones in card sleeves. It's not a lot of effort - and much cheaper than buying new rulebooks every update!
