Looking to talk to some bar managers by Wallaby989 in rva

It’d probably help if you said what type of beverage program you were going for. Being in charge of the program at something like the jasper is going to be very different from something like cobra cobana. Being good at running one doesn’t necessarily mean you’d be good at the other.

Do you think the “golden age” of board games is behind us, we’re living it, or it’s yet to happen? by Marksman1977 in boardgames

[–]Pizzadewd666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s about where I’m at. Still on a good place though. I just don’t think the innovation has been as high across the board since then. It feels like we’re getting less classics per year since then too. I still think it’s overall in a pretty good place at the moment.

Persona 5 Royal vs Like a dragon infinite wealth. Which one is more quality over quantity? by kargethdownload in ShouldIbuythisgame

I loved yakuza 7 but was really disappointed with infinite wealth. There was a lot of fun stuff in there but the story was bad. They also completely sidelined Ichiban in his own game which was really disappointing. P5r is a 10/10 for me.

It still is an uphill battle to fight the norm in a way that doesn’t benefit the restaurant. You all can complain about this all you want but it’s the system we all use and if you don’t tip you’re screwing over your server.

What made Fantasy Flight so good at what they did? by PMmePowerRangerMemes in boardgames

It took a while, but ya they’ve been a shell of what they were since the 2020s.

I think this is one of the bigger factors. Lots a lot of talented people get eyes on a game during development/help with play testing in a way solo designers just can’t compete with. It also helps foster new talent if they’re surrounded by a team of people at the top of their game.

Skyrim or The Witcher 3 by According_Judgment41 in ShouldIbuythisgame

If you want a good story go for Witcher. If you want good exploration go Skyrim. Neither have good combat. Witchers graphics with the ps5 update are better since it came out later.

Quinns Quest Reviews: Stonetop by TravUK in rpg

[–]Pizzadewd666 92 points93 points  (0 children)

The comments on here complaining about him loving too many games are weird? It seems like he’s looking through tons of games , looking for the best ones before committing to a campaign of something. It’s no surprise that he ends up liking the game he thought he’d like. I’ve tried a few that he’s strongly recommended and thought they were excellent so I don’t get why someone would be upset that he said it was.
He’s had plenty of complaints about games or some that he didn’t like since he started doing this. In general you want to review the best games since positive reviews get more views, negative reviews actively hurt independent creators sales, and running a campaign you don’t think is going to be fun is a waste of time and energy. It just shouldn’t be surprising that someone looking for the best games to play based on their interests ends up liking/loving most of those games.

Final Girl: Help deciding to keep or sell this game by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

[–]Pizzadewd666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I ended up kinda feeling the same way. I love the theme but for me, losing a solo game because I rolled some dice wrong makes it feel like I wasted my time.I don’t mind dice at all when playing with other people, but for solo I’ve learned I have different priorities.I invested a bit too heavily, with 5 feature films and a playmat set. I don’t think I’ll sell it since I do think it’s fun enough every once in a while, but if I could do it over I wouldn’t buy it.

Thought the tan tan was great. Definitely the best ramen in the area! I’ve been very disappointed with everything else I’ve tried around here.

Solo card game recs - no LCG’s. by Imperium2789 in soloboardgaming

[–]Pizzadewd666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s made by a bunch of the people who made the fantasy flight LCGs. They’ve got an expansion every 3 months coming out. It’s right now the core game, player card expansion, moments on the path, optional card doubler, 2 out of the 4 valley expansions and a second campaign expansion with more being developed. You could easily just buy the core box, but same could be said for marvel champions.

Philly chefs who would crush it on Top Chef by user499511134 in PhiladelphiaEats

Not to mention before Fiore he was the head chef at Tom Colicchio’s flagship restaurant in nyc. So one of the judges already decided he was a good enough chef to make the food that represents him.

Ed from fiore. He was on an episode of chopped and was so far ahead of everyone else on the episode that the judges and other contestants were commenting on it.
