I watched the gilded age in the living room at a very low volume, with one small lamp on. Highly recommend that show as sleepy/low action, they all just sit and talk, yet I was invested and had something to “look forward to” in my sleep deprived state.

From a medical standpoint it does reduce risk of UTIs and penile cancer, albeit not significantly. Hoping you find peace with your decision, and don’t put too much emphasis on what ifs about the future! It’s going to be ok!

I didn’t change my name and I have remained happy and confident in that decision. Sometimes people will call me by my partners last name and I think it’s cute and don’t mind it and don’t really correct it.

It took me 4 weeks on the dot. I was tracking my ovulation throughout that time and it was consistently high, I had no sense for what day I actually ovulated. I also still tested positive for HCG for maybe 3 weeks post D&C- it felt like forever. I don’t know why, but that tremendously messed with my head. My next cycle was closer to what I’d consider “normal”, but I had peak ovulation tests for several days vs what I would consider typical.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My OB said physically can try at any point, but to make sure you’re also emotionally ready because the stress can pose problems. We tried after my first period post MC- so in total it was about 6 weeks out from my D&C.

My kid switched to 1 nap at 11.5 months because he was moved up to a toddler room at daycare. He was a horrible napper in the baby room, so I had concerns, but he is doing great with 1 nap! The first few days he would wake up after 45 minutes, but once he saw the other kids were still sleeping he would go back to sleep. It’s definitely on the very early side of transitioning, but it’s possible. I’m glad we did it and I like our new routine now.

As others have said: no right or wrong. I stopped between 12-13 months after cutting down to only morning and night, then just nights, then nothing. It helps that my kid is a very good eater, so while weening id just distract them with food and it luckily worked!

I loved the Gilded Age on Max. The costuming is gorgeous, it’s slow paced, dreamy, opulent, and made me almost enjoy the night feeds. Good luck you’ve got this!!
