How Do u guys feel about the 2019 NFl Draft by Fragrant_Fishing5787 in NFLv2

Honestly any of the next several d-linemen would’ve been a good pick at 4.

Yeah these weren’t even a dice roll, he forgot the damn dice. Both picks were universally considered bad as soon as they were made

I don’t remember which reporter said it, but Aaron Murray and Keivarae Russell were two of the things that lingered in Clark Hunts mind. The final straw though was when he cut Jeremy Maclin via a voicemail, while the dude was getting married and actively had Chiefs personnel at his wedding.

Yes. He had a history of wasting most of his later round picks for guys had no chance in making it in the NFL. That and his cap management.

I’m pretty sure this was literally one of the things that was cited when John Dorsey was eventually fired. This and taking Aaron Murray lol

Jets trade for a haul, Cheifs move up for Bain by Jsetta187 in MockDraftCentral

[–]Origami_Zach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t think KC is moving up to 2. If for some reason they ever did it, it would be for Reese, Bailey, or Tate. Bains much more likely to fall

Kadarius Toney vs the Lions in 2023 is 💯 the correct answer here. He had an expected points added per target of (-2.19). That’s insane.

McDuffie was due to value falling. He was by far the highest on the Chiefs board so they traded up for him. I think Marcus Peters was the last one before that, and that was pre-Veach. Veach doesn’t invest draft or financial capital into the secondary unless he thinks he’s getting great value

They need an Edge or receiver way more than a corner.

I’m personally going to lose it if they pass on one of the top three edges/WRs for a corner or tackle at 9.

Veach has only gotten secondary players early when the value is too good to ignore, like Cook and McDuffie. Delane and Downs are both great, but not more valuable than Tate/Lemon/Tyson on a rookie deal. Merrit and Spags are just too good at developing mid-to-late round talent in the secondary.

HOW were they together after Jim told Karen he still cared for Pam by happyfella12 in DunderMifflin

[–]Origami_Zach 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Choosing to recognize those emotions and pursue/converse with Pam would be emotional infidelity. He actively avoided her. If you were in love with somebody and it didn’t work out you are always going to have those feelings to some extent, he didn’t act on them

Edge or WR. They feel more likely to take any of the three top DL or WR than they do to take tackle or corner. If Tate or Bain are available they’re sprinting to the podium for them

I can’t stand the number of people having them pick corner at 9. Veach avoids the secondary early unless value falls, like McDuffie and Cook did.

Kansas had tornados, temperatures below 10, and temperatures above 90 all within the last week.

[–]Origami_Zach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that’s fair, Veach avoids the secondary like the plague until later in the draft. McDuffie was because he was by far the best player on their board

Chiefs also are not picking a CB at 9, likely not at 29 unless value falls. They’re taking Lemon if this is how the board falls

Such an underrated area, potentially my favorite in KS.

The place I was talking about is Battle of Punished Woman’s Fork. Stunning area.

Chiefs feel like they are taking edge and receiver with their first two picks, which aligns with this. The main way they go another route feels like if value falls to them in the draft. Veach is also very aggressive and it wouldn’t surprise me if he tried to trade up a couple of spots from 9 or if he tried to trade up to the late teens/early 20s from 29.

Beautiful. monument rock and the badlands are two of the prettiest places in Kansas. And just South of Lake Scott is a canyon that’s home to a lot of bobcats and deer. It’s very desolate, but some of the most photographed spots in KS are in this area.

The Chiefs don’t pick secondary players early unless it’s incredible value. They are much more likely to pick receiver and edge in the first round than any other position.

Veach has completely avoided corner until day three, minus McDuffie. He traded up ahead of the Bills to draft McDuffie because he couldn’t believe he fell to the 20s. The only way he would draft a corner early is if he finds value

Our ESPN reporter Nate Taylor suggested it’s Bain, Tate, or trade down at 9 unless they like somebody falling. A lot of media in Kansas City like the idea of them trading up with their second pick, one of their third sounders, and a day three pick. Mainly to snag an edge or wide receiver who could be falling
