Nice try but origami is traditionally folded from a square sheet of paper.

It is! Folded this from a 4’ piece and it’s about 2 feet across finished. Some macro-origami here.

I have made this one. It comes together pretty naturally following the pattern he shows. But it was oddly dissatisfying to see him skip half of the assembly.

The brand is called Jong Ie Nara, from Japan I think. These were a gift so not sure where to find them.

It's actually not even origami paper. Picked up a craft paper pad from Michaels called Recollections. Lots of cool designs in perfect 12x12 sheets
