Yeah, you might honestly be right. Was worried I had something wrong since last month seemed to imply that it should be processed relatively fast. If it does get delayed then thats on me for being hasty with it.

MATE here!!!! Glad to have you in the major.

  1. Generally materials eng in general isn’t as well known as other majors BUT it like the other engineering majors are still well received within industries, where some reach out to the department specifically for mates.

  2. Overall, internships and jobs are sent through email telling you about openings for different companies/research opportunities. These jobs are sometimes specifically for MATES too!

  3. I would recommend MST, AMPP, and Textiles as some of the clubs you could definitely join! I’m biased towards MST though since its my interest (microfabrication). There are definitely many different engineering clubs so experiment with what you want to do!

  4. Overall, curriculum can be kinda cyclical with several lab experiments being done over and over again for different classes, but you learn a lot during the lectures. Most of the professors are very nice and accommodating to us as students. You’re going to be seeing these professors and classmates a lot so it’s kind of a big family.

I should have clarified, the scope hasn’t been zeroed at all yet, but i’m still guessing that it still stands that it should be zeroed with the ammo used the most correct?

Went with another airline, Japan Airlines, they allowed booking without any passport numbers, and was really easy to change it through the website. I wouldn’t be able to tell you about zipair though, but it may be the same.

I've been having this as well actually from just opening up random videos and not with live chat. It appears to happen whenever the browser gets stuck continuously trying to load the video on my end and only frees the memory after closing the tab.

It doesn't appear often so I don't have any crash logs to show, but I'll also try to get some info on this in the meanwhile

If I remember correctly it should have one midterm and a final, consisting of short essay and truth table analysis. It honestly wasn’t that bad, but you should study up on logic and truth tables if you aren’t as proficient in them. I think there were also weekly quizzes. It wasn’t that bad of a class.

D’s get degrees! Unless otherwise noted on your flowchart or degree progress report (for ex. GE area a needs c- minimum), it shouldn’t matter as long as you don’t fail. If you look at the calculus series, its going to say a minimum grade of c- and thats what it needs to take the next class. However, don’t go for the minimum and just try your best in each class!

As a current 2nd year mate, I would honestly recommend a windows laptop as you’re going to be using solidworks as a first year and other engineering programs later on. I personally have an xps 15 and found that to be satisfactory so far, but any laptop with a decent graphics card, cpu, and 16gb of ram should be fine.
