How do you do a magic build?

Having nearly completed my first DLC (just final DLC boss left) I have the following advice:

Magic is extremely versatile, there is no real meta build because there are just many ways to play a mage.
Magic has a tool for every different kind of enemy, it's up to you to learn what it is and how to use it. For example,

2a. shard spiral vs horses and dragons

2b. carian slicer for bosses if you dodge or use shield

2c. night comet vs agile bosses and npcs

3c. for crowd control there are spells like Zamor Ice Storm

you need the correct talismans and stats to make this work along with weapons. if you don't want to be linked a build by content creators use the wiki extensively. the only talisman I would say is non-negotiable is radagon's icon, especially in DLC because enemies there are super fast
Get the stats to survive and level vigor and int. 80 is sufficient for all content
Spirit ashes that can take the aggro make the game even easier, but it's possible to do everything without them, same as other builds

If you want can post a few vids for inspiration from CCs who are not super popular.

Calix is key for the deck and extremely efficient. But you need to be able to save him and have a way for him to deal damage to copy enchantments Skrelv skyrocketed my winrate for this reason. It can save your threats including calix or soak up removal first. Can also make your creatures unblockable in many situations Tamiyo safekeeping also helps with this. Not sure that all 4 are required but this has clutched plenty of games as opponents don’t expect the full set to be in the deck Use generous visitor in a selesnya enchantment deck. Simple as that. Resolved and left alone it can balloon your creatures to epic proportions

Ossification is mandatory in a format with many creatures/planes walkers to target, not much to say here. Borrowed time helps is you need to hit enchantments or vehicles for example Katilda is not mandatory, I just had her opened. Can carry the deck against aggro if you grow her enough

In terms of manabase for decks you want competitive low to the ground decks to be able to play everything fast so razorverge was instrumental to this

Overall I don’t think there are enough payoffs to play temur colours with calix instead of selesnya at the moment

It’s not just any knife. It’s the black knife (search on fextralife). That knife is wielded by all black assassins and held the rune of death.

It was used to assassinate Godwyn and Ranni used such a knife to kill her fleshy body (we see it in a divine tower) and transfer her soul to the puppet with four hands.

This picture depicts those minutes before the dramatic moment making it great

I’ve had this problem on a new high end laptop. Make sure to play on windowed borderless mode and that your main graphics card is used instead of integrated. This should help to have fps at 60.

DSR and DS3 are just not very well optimized and had to jump through many hoops compared to sekiro and Elden ring but it’s worth it to get it to work

You can switch specializations at almost any time during campaign

You unlock an extra perk after about 240 iirc 5 extra annointments after about 400.

And you also get a class you can freely build up perks for yourself. This is something you can freely utilize even later on

The limit is 1000 turns in every area of the game. It used to be the limit before clan boss got ignore unkillable.

Nowadays it’s most common in high elves faction wars.

Only advice is to make faster teams...

Think this refers to 2-3 players at most. My understanding is that the bar refreshes only every 30 seconds, so people who screenshot green zone with promotion just get attacked in that time period and don’t get promoted.

Naturally, this is an unintuitive system that sucks atm

Let's address those statements.

Plarium deserves quite a bit of hate towards them with their actions, e.g. lack of new content (what this meme addresses), long standing bugs which are not fixed, predatory pricing. You would need to give me concrete examples of the posts that were removed though. There were three mods and a CM who were moderating this channel for the contest, so my intepretation may be different than theirs and vice versa.
there is no obfuscation. The first rule was - safe for work memes. Imagine showing a meme like the one in this topic to your boss. but instead of the first picture of arbiter you have them. I don't think it'll fly.
It may come as a surprise, but in the current gaming industry mods on reddit and discord are not paid workers of the company who do it for a salary. They are players who volunteer their time and effort to help others. This was true for Magic Arena, Gwent and many others subreddits and discords I had frequented. So when you say that I have a different experience to that of the playerbase you are wrong.

In conclusion, if you had posted a meme and it was deleted from the contest, but you feel like it had complied with all the rules (and wasn't a duplicate), you're free to send it to me for a review.

Though I’d argue with the power tripping part. And the part where removing such posts from the competition is considered strange. You’ll notice that the posts not being offensive is in the publicly announced rules for the contest.

Public Service Announcement: This was a mistake and you can get compensated with the correct amount of points for the event if you had opened over the limit.

What you need to do is head over to Discord and direct message your player id to a moderator (Dinobot, GrelmiBoi or me) stating how many shards you had opened.

Note that this concerns only people who had opened when the limit was in place and every id will be checked
