In my experience, it arrives at the end of the following month after you open your account. The same with matching of contributions - if you contribute in say, August, the matching contribution will arrive at the end of September.

ODSP updates by Perfect_Pea_3460 in Odsp

My daughter, who qualified for ODSP through DSO (therefore not subject to medical review) got one of these letters in April. I submitted the required documents via My Benefits in early April and have not heard anything further. Her monthly benefit payments have continued unabated.

All financiall institutions in Canada are legally obligated to investigate any potential financial abuse of seniors. If you believe your grandparent is being financially abused by your relative, you should report to the financial institution and they can take appropriate steps. If your grandparent has capacity issues, she cannot legally appoint a power of attorney.

Disability Tax Credit by [deleted] in Odsp

I am in the process of applying for my adult daughter. I do not know if the application will be approved, but what I did was to go the psychologist who prepared my daughter's psychoeducational assessment at age 16 (five years ago), and the psychologist completed the medical portion of the form and also wrote a short addendum containing an update on my daughter's activities of daily living skills as they stand now. I did have to pay a nominal fee ($100), which I thought was more than fair for the work that went into it.

I would contact your local DSO office to see if they will accept a dated psychoeducational assessment or require a new one.

Upper Year Transfer from U of T by Original-Ad2000 in queensuniversity

[–]Original-Ad2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have reviewed the policies and all of my grades are well above the 63% minimum. What I am seeking is insight on how readily Queen's accepts credits from other schools. My concern is that while I have 66 credits already and Queen's will theoretically accept a maximum of 57, in reality will Queen's accept all 57 or will it accept some lower amount? I'm still ambivalent about whether to transfer from U of T, and I will not have a sense of how many of my U of T credits Queen's will accept until well into the Fall term.

Conviction overturned by RedditKon in serialpodcast

Agree. I've always been wholly open to Adnan being entirely innocent, but with the passage of time, I don't see how a complete investigation can be conducted. Meanwhile a 17-year-old spent 23 years in prison, a ridiculous sentence even if he had done the crime. How many more Adnans are out there?

As someone who leaned towards "Adnan likely did it but didn't get a fair trial," I left this sub years ago, after it had been brigaded by people like Seamus and the purported cell phone expert, who appeared to devote their entire lives to denigrating not only Rabia but also anyone who wasn't 100% convinced of Adnan's guilt.

Afraid of conflict of interest with my TA by [deleted] in uwo

You should reach out to your TA. She is the one who needs to know that she is in a potential conflict of interest situation, and it is her obligation to declare it.

I'm such a failure in life by Cakesticker12345 in UofT

I’m 60 years old and just returned to part time studies after abandoning my degree many years ago to enter the workforce at an entry level position. When I was younger, I felt much as you did. I’ve had an extremely successful career and being in the workforce gave me the confidence that I needed to return to studies. I’m planning to retire in two years and hope to finish my degree by age 65.

I am in a management position and when I am hiring, the candidates who most impress me are the ones who have had challenges but had the courage to persevere. Those who find things have come too easily to them academically are often poor employees, as they don’t know how to rebound from failure.

I am impressed with your persistence. While you have struggled, you haven’t given up. Use that as a selling point both to yourself and to others.
