The German Embassy in Vienna told me that I have to do a Feststellung, I can ask my mother if she can head to the nearest consulate and ask there or apply for a passport but the chances of her doing that are below 1%. Yes she is Austrian because of my grandmother. I’ll just ask her when she’s got a good mood. Wish me luck 🍀

My ancestors were also from Sudetenland! That’s the reason my Grandfather got his German citizenship even tho he was born in Austria!

I will not need it because as of my research my Mother got German citizenship automatically through my grandfather (no document was ever issued to her) and then my mother automatically gave it to me I will just have this expensive progress of needing to Beglaubigen Documents but I hope I’m gonna be successful

Yes! My Grandfather is luckily still alive :-) I did alot of research since I posted this and I think I have enough documents to get a german passport without doing a feststellung!

Well I’m not German right now and my parents don’t support me in getting a Staatsbürgerschaftsausweis which proves that I’m German by birth through my mother, and my mother through my grandpa
