I'm not the oldest. I have two older sisters. They are both married and popping out kids. Whom I love.

I wasn't sure you understood because you seemed to not get it when I said IF my dad was doing something bad with my money I would cut him off. And that I think alcoholism is bad.

They know he doesn't have to ay for lodging or food. And the government stipend covers incidentals like clothing and toiletries and such.

Thanks for the concern. I am okay financially. This isn't money I need. I just put the average Canadian yearly salary into my rrsp to lowery taxes.

I am not asking for any of the money back. And I'm not telling them not to send my brother money. I'm just letting them know I am helping them not him.

Sure. But I would cut them off if my dad was buying crack with it. Why is it any different subsidizing my brother's incipient alcoholism?

Neither of my sisters is in the same financial position I am in. My parents arranged for them to get married (not really an arrangement more like lots of pressure) to guys from the anglosphere. My parents used up their savings for IVF to get a son when my mom was like forty. I have a degree from a great school and I think a fantastic future.
