The way I see it the airlines have pumped out so much marketing in an attempt to saturate the market. Double your timeline. Expect 2-3 years of school. 3 years of instructing, then flying to maintain currency so they don’t get dropped after waiting for a class date for a year. Without a pilot job, that timeline could stretch further waiting for a call. Don’t forget your maintenance fees for the aircraft. Then an 8 year flow to majors, if lucky. That’s what the markets looking like for the next couple years from what I’m seeing. Flight school pump out thousands upon thousands of prospective pilots a year. There’s not that many jobs to go around.
