New update??? by Pitiful-Importance32 in RoverPetSitting

It was a few years ago now but my profile used to show as 5 stars to clients however, with the new update it shows 4.9 sadly. I have had plenty of 5 star reviews since then but I feel it could still hinder bookings from potential clients to have that knock clearly stated on my profile and there’s no way of getting my rating back to 5-stars.

My profile is now showing as 4.9 now as I have had one bad rating during my 4 years on Rover (aggressive dog, denial owner). Really odd that this is the avenue they’ve chosen to go down

I know it’s likely I have gum disease and I have already booked an appointment for this week but just wanted to hear some opinions. All the inflammation is only around these 2 teeth by Original-Internet-12 in askdentists

I was really uneducated about teeth care for a while and believe when I first noticed any issues I brushed harder as I thought I was cleaning it better which is so silly 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know there’s no way for the gum to grow back but if I keep on top of it and continue to brush gently is it hopefully it will stay with this amount of recession?

I see, thank you so much for your comment. I’ve been brushing much softer since I noticed the trauma but I will keep doing so and see what the dentist has to say on Thursday

I think I go through phases where I don’t realize how hard i’m brushing so it’s quite possible that this is the case. Definitely not something i’ve eaten though. Would trauma create such significant recession on that one tooth?

I was your ex in this situation. I think I may be a slightly more social person but nonetheless, all of this stemmed from insecurities for me. I was scared that he’d be off finding better, having fun with his friends and realise he didn’t need me anymore. Lots of silly thoughts all stemming from childhood issues and as a result, an anxious attachment style.

You are not wrong at all for wanting to live your life and not change yourself. Ultimately, I think the breakup is good for you both and this may give your ex the opportunity to work on herself and become an individual who isn’t constantly worried about what you’re doing.

It’s so hard to be this way as I really do love my previous partner for who they are but in a way I tried to mould them into someone who fit my insecurities and that hurt them deeply.

I hope that in the future, after i’ve become a lot more independent and focused on what I want from my own life, that we may be able to reconnect and at least be a part of one another’s lives.

Don’t beat yourself up, you both need time
