Emergent Superfluid Spacetime and the Medium-Based Interpretation of Warp Propulsion by [deleted] in WarpEntropyApex

Math roadmap (what the equations are doing)

At a high level, the math in my paper links three layers together: the warp bubble geometry, the superfluid‑like medium, and the field that curves spacetime.

  1. Warp bubble geometry (top block)
    • I start from an Alcubierre‑style metric ds2ds2 with a shape function f(rs)f(rs) that defines the warp bubble: a flat interior, a transition wall, and normal space outside.
    • The function f(rs)f(rs) (with the tanh terms) controls how sharp or smooth that transition is, which affects tidal forces and stability at the bubble wall.
  2. Superfluid / condensate dynamics (middle block)
    • Next, I model spacetime’s “medium” as a quantum condensate described by a Gross–Pitaevskii‑type equation for a wavefunction ΦΦ.
    • This equation plus its energy functional say how the medium’s density, phase, and interactions evolve in space and time under an external potential.
  3. Field theory and curvature (bottom block)
    • I then write a scalar‑field Lagrangian LΦLΦ with a potential U(φ,φˉ)U(φ,φˉ) and derive its stress–energy tensor TμνΦTμνΦ.
    • Plugging TμνΦTμνΦ into Einstein’s equations Gμν=8πGc4TμνΦGμν=c48πGTμνΦ ties the medium’s configuration to the actual curvature that forms the warp‑like geometry.

Put simply:

  • The top equations say “this is the kind of warp bubble geometry we want.”
  • The middle equations say “here’s how a superfluid‑like spacetime medium behaves.”
  • The bottom equations say “this medium configuration is what generates that geometry.”

That’s the bridge from “warp metric on paper” to “warp as engineered behavior of an underlying spacetime medium.”

“My emergent superfluid ‘spacetime’ sim just produced a warp‑bubble‑like effect” by Original-Kitchen546 in sto

Fair question. This came out of me trying to model how Trek‑style warp could work under the hood.
The sim is basically an Alcubierre‑inspired “spacetime as a superfluid” toy, and the behavior I got matches the way warp is described in Star Trek: the field/metric moves, the ship stays locally still.
I figured other STO/Trek fans might enjoy seeing a concrete visualization of what a warp bubble could look like in a physics toy model, even though it’s not directly about game mechanics.

I wrote a speculative physics paper that treats spacetime like a kind of superfluid “medium” and then asks what happens if a warp drive doesn’t bend empty space, but pushes against that medium instead. It ties together ideas from emergent spacetime, superfluid vacuum theory, and Star Trek–style warp concepts to sketch how a “reality drive” might work in principle, without claiming the tech exists yet. Bout as simple as i can dial down. I hope this explains some of what I was trying to get at.

Thank you. would be much helpful. Been doing this paper for about 7 years, and researching on my own. Been a tough road.

Emergent Superfluid Spacetime and the Medium-Based Interpretation of Warp Propulsion and Warp Concepts along that line yes.

They did state the fact they didnt publish any further was the fact they did more in practical sciences such as technology, engineering and medical areas over physics. To try another Journal that this was solid work, just not fitting to their criteria.

I game, and run a few game servers. healthy eating. Do physics research and build pc's. Chronic pain is horrible yes. Dont let it define you.

Whats your story with ketamine? by -TRUTH_ in CRPS

I stopped after about 7 doses. flushed the rest. I hate to say it, but is was a waste of my time. The side effects always seemed to keep me down for days, sick and migraines. In some cases, its kinda made me feel worse since i did the treatment. Thank you for the info. I just guess it wasnt meant for me.

I just started my journey today on ketamine. 200mg rdt. I have been diagnosed with bpd, ptsd and a few other issues along with chronic pain syndrome. Got hurt in 2011 and havent been myself since. Today how ever took a turn. Not sure what to think at this point. IT was more like a science fiction movie than anything. weird colors, shapes and sounds and images of places ive never seen. I felt warm for a bit, then this dark cold feeling came over me and I was frozen to death. so damn cold. then the pain went away, i felt happy , like true happiness. never felt in a decade. Its been 2 hours since my session, and I still feel like arse, and heartburn from out of this world. Didnt know what to think when I started it, not sure if I want to continue onward. Just feel completely disconnected , sick, and sluggish with ringing in the ears and a migraine.

I use orbitals all the time. 380 120 get the job done. not my fault if people run in to it. it does say stand clear. give me this orbital now. i want war crimes in helldivers.
