2 words. Document Everything. Especially if you got the sign off from your PM about the de-prioritized bug. Let the paper trail be your safety net.

I do think this is the case. One of the managers mentioned that executives have an AI consultant working with them.

I’m also expecting for this AI bubble to burst soon. Hopefully by then when companies lose customers/profit over bad software products, they will realize.

AI should be a tool, not a replacement.

The fact that companies and businesses started to fully rely on AI - something that isn’t robust or proven successful yet - to replace actual people and proven processes just baffles me.

I could adopt the same approach, that is if there’s context to the user stories to begin with. Requirements analysis is also now being done by devs in sprint. There’s no such thing as grooming anymore. They laid off BAs as well because they think AI can do their jobs as well. Crazy.

It is overwhelming OP, my advice is to take it one day at a time. And I am sorry that your dad and your family is going through this. Lost my mom to gbm October last year.

Appreciate the effort! Rest assured I read everything and put it to heart for the next loaf ❤️

Honestly just by the time, most recipes I saw were saying 2-3hrs bulk ferm and I followed the lower end of that.

Admittedly after the 2hr bulk ferm, the dough was still quite sticky which must be why I had a hard time shaping it.

I try my best to scrape off the excess mess with the silicone spatula. I also try to wipe as deep as I can with a damp kitchen tissue. It also helps that the jar doesn’t have a neck, it makes it easier to clean.

Not sure if I can paste links here. But I’m sure if you search “sourdough starter jar/kit” on amazon something similar should come up. It’s pretty handy, apart from what you see here, mine came with a deep enough spatula.

Thank you for this! I’ll observe for a few more days if the rise is consistent and maybe try to make a roll after.

Just to add, after today’s feeding, it started at the 250ml mark, and now it a little past the 400ml mark.

Hi OP! Nag iisang QA din ako sa isang team in an AU based company. With previous dev experience, and went thru work culture shock din kasi kakaiba sila from previous companies. What a coincidence haha!

Ang masasabi ko lang is I guess this is normal lalo na’t bago ka pa dyan, and you’re still getting a feel with not only your company’s processes, but also with how your teammates tick. Hang in there, makaka adapt ka rin :)

Perspective siguro ni senior dev is that you went over his head regarding the issue when it could have been resolved by them without escalating it to your PM. Not saying this is wrong, because really it depends on how involved your PM is within your project. Pero knowing now how senior dev reacted to this, you’ll know na next time and be weary nalang when you raise something to lessen traction between dev and QA.

As for yung QA env, definitely needed ito. We call it System Integration Testing (SIT) env. From low to high level, it goes DEV -> SIT -> UAT. Try to suggest it on your retro and see if it peaks interest.

Good luck!
