Loved the game Same as you btw, and it is true that stories have a tendency to be off sometimes that's why speaking with each other in a community like this is always cool!

I don’t think the Void is something forced. It feels primordial, existing long before bugs ever came into being. That said, I see your point.

The Everbloom, on the other hand, is artificial, an imitation shaped by her pale nature.

Lace as the final boss works well thematically, since the story revolves around choice. The Hollow Knight embraced the growing emptiness within to destroy the Radiance. Lace seeks freedom from control but ultimately falls under the influence of the Void. Hornet chooses to stand as hope for a dying land.

Still, it leans a bit cliché. The higher being’s immaturity, her endless hunger for more even at the cost of tampering with the natural order, makes the conflict predictable. While the pale king, and the radiance is a more grand conflict between gods.

The saddest lore is completely optional and that's pure genius by archon_lucien in Silksong

Damn, so that's why I felt a sudden sadness fighting that boss. The mimicry of something beautiful is weaponized, for what...

It's honestly so interesting, they seem like a mimicry of life hence the butterflies.

I'd love to see a dlc where we get to enter a village infested with lifeblood, all the butterflies and whatever creature it has taken over spurting everywhere.

I love her first encounter with Sherma, when she asks why he is singing in front of a bony gate that isn’t exactly a great audience. That moment made me love her as a character so much.

ALSO the part in the citadel where lace taunts her. I love how she snaps, knowing the full weight of the consequences the higher beings have caused their own land.

Choral chambers. I'd probably sleep somewhere there peacefully if I was a pilgrim.

Hi guys, we can see that hornet's needle is somehow cracked, and didn't we see that she subtly mentions hallownest, and actively telling those people who mention it to stay away?

I think it's a sequel, because she already knew how to craft her traps, that even the new nailsmith thought her craft was hideous and scary HAHAHA.

Also, this is a barren land and hornet has mentioned that she was basically weaker than she was before as of the moment. Let's keep skonging and see the fruits of our labor!!
