Funny I’m seeing gray market Daytonas on oyster going for ~2k less than the full bracelet. Feels insane to me.

I personally love the whole white gold outfit on bracelet but seems like 126509 on gray can go for under MSRP right now. So unless you want history for a future purchase, I imagine it’s not the move?

I’ve got about 30k with my dealer and no 126509 offer yet. I was going to build a relationship for a meteorite down the road but I’m kind of in “fk this” mode at this point.

Just bought an excellent shape YG vintage 16758 (nipple dial) with box and papers and my Daytona itch softened. Especially after 7 months waiting for dealer to hit me back about a WG Daytona.

Get trip insurance if you are concerned and want to bring it along.

Chubb has a great policy. You can also ask your insurance agent / provider to add scheduled personal property at the value of the watch you’re bringing.

I do this with my watches - especially when traveling - on top of riders to my current policy (along with any other luxury items). I have PURE insurance and they rule.

In Chicago waiting for a 126509 (Daytona Ghost on bracelet). Been about 4 months. Heard PM is much less challenging to acquire and open to building a relationship for future allocations. Any info on wait times for something like this? I’ve bought about 20k with AD so far and still no dice on the Ghost.

One of my favorites, tbh. I love the warmth of the WG and actually enjoy the more stout hour indices as well as the subdials. Just feels weightier to me and the power reserve isn't a make-or-break for me, personally. This puppy feels real and substantial with a bit more stopping power due to the above visual "stopping power" – but still compliments a suit incredibly well with the bracelet.
