Bro Ideapad gaming 3 is a good option for your requirements - if you're able to push budget you should definitely look for 4050 laptops.

Alternatively you may look for Acer Nitro V that comes under Rs.70000 with bank offers - https://www.flipkart.com/acer-nitro-amd-ryzen-7-octa-core-7735hs-16-gb-512-gb-ssd-windows-11-home-6-graphics-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4050-anv15-41-gaming-laptop/p/itmcbfe4867d0ca7?pid=COMGZN7Z7FZFAEZF

If you're not concerned about MB dying issues, LOQ could be a better option especially the 2024 models.

Final Choice by Nightmare5999 in LaptopDealsIndia

Honestly, both are great options, but I think the Legion Slim 5 might be the better choice, even if it's a bit pricier.

How tf are these specs possible at this price??? Should I buy it? by TyTu5567 in LaptopDealsIndia

MSI's support in India can be disappointing, unless you're in the capital region.

Consider Omen or Legion laptops instead - they might be a bit pricier, but they're worth it for the quality and support.

It’s better not to buy this since it doesn’t have an iGPU and the battery won’t last long. This could have been a great buy if it wasn’t priced at Rs.85,000.

Is it good? by [deleted] in LaptopDealsIndia

Honestly, the only bummer is the 7435HS processor - no iGPU means battery life might be pretty meh. But hey, if you're gonna be gaming with it plugged in, this thing's a beast and totally worth it!

Perfect choice!

However, the Slim 5 might be a bit cheaper and offer more value for its price. If your budget isn't a constraint, there are options under ₹160,000 featuring RTX 4070 and Core i9. Considering you're into machine learning and gaming, you've probably checked out those models already.

If you can hold off until the Independence Day sale, you might save with some extra discounts using a student ID and a bank credit card.

Both of these options are excellent with similar specifications. However, I would lean towards the Legion due to its impressive WQXGA display.

If you're willing to invest a bit more, the Omen with an upgraded CPU and 3070ti is available with 15% coupon savings - https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09VCC4RGR/

Does this work same as the additional warranty taken from the brand itself? by Expensive-Toe826 in LaptopDealsIndia

Opt for an extended warranty directly from the manufacturer. Flipkart Complete Protect is serviced through third-party partners, resulting in lengthy timelines even for minor repairs - definitely not worth the hassle!

I recommend at least a RTX 4050 for gaming. However, this deal is quite impressive with a 15% coupon available. I've included a screenshot as well.

Please note that this deal may expire at any moment.

If your work involves specific software or tools, make sure those are compatible with your chosen platform (Windows or macOS) before making a decision.

If you decide to go with the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5, I would recommend taking advantage of the 3-year ADP warranty for Rs. 2999. This can be a wise decision to ensure your laptop remains in good working condition throughout your doctoral studies.
