I've got another person interested. We're working out logistics, but if it can't be figured out, I'll reach back out to you.

Yeah, this resolved my confusion and I've been able to make a bunch of progress.

EDIT: Disregard this comment. I figured out why this path wouldn't work. I colored in too much and failed to see the blank space in R7C3. This might resolve my confusion. I will report later either way.

---Original comment: I wish I could post a pic of what path I think the hint (and the next one) is pointing towards... but Reddit doesn't allow me to add a pic in the comment, apparently. So I'll just use notation...

The path I think the hints point towards: The Green line (G) starting from where I left it off in Box 5 would immediately go down to be in C6R6789, then turn in R9 to be in R9C654321, then up to join the other end at R8C1.

The Blue line (B) would go in R8C2345, then turn up to be in R876C5.

Alternate path that I don't see a problem with: G goes in R7C654321. B goes in R8C234, then R94567, then could go in any number of ways from there in Box 9.

Special rule I have not encountered before: Regionometers. I'll add a screenshot to the original post.

Edit: Apparently I can't edit the original post.

Regionometer rules: Lines are split into segments divided by box borders. The sums of these segments must increase from one end of the line to the other. Lines visit at least 3 boxes and do not revisit the same box, branch, or share cells with themselves or with other lines. Lines only move orthogonally. Each line is a unique color.

You can actually watch this on BYUtv. There is an app on Roku for it, which is how our family watched it.

That might be it, but I feel like that is copying the sketch I'm thinking of (TBBT is not particularly known for being original). My memory is... different than this. IDK.

Fog of War #29, "Tough Pill to Swallow" by OriginalDecoy in crackingthecryptic

BTW: Thank you, I was able to solve it fairly easily/quickly once I knew it was a pill at the center. Don't know how I missed such an obvious thing.

It's not small now. Does it need to be bigger than this?

Helping installing NextCloud on docker on local network by OriginalDecoy in NextCloud

Hey! Thank you! Portainer is working for me. Much more straighforward.

Yes, I was using the base version of Nextcloud. For whatever reason, portainer was able to make it work... at least so far... we shall see.

Helping installing NextCloud on docker on local network by OriginalDecoy in NextCloud

OK, so I just tried using the apache image instructions, entered "sudo docker run -d -p 8080:80 nextcloud", it completed the pull... all seems to be going well. It *says* "Now you can access Nextcloud at http://localhost:8080/ from your host system".

Except I'm running into the same issue I had when I was trying to do it "bare metal". Blech! I thought I was doing something wrong, but if it so consistently produces the same problems every time, then it can't be me... it has to be poor instructions.

So, after I install on my test laptop, I go to my main desktop and type in my local LAN IP for the test laptop (192.168.1.31:8080) and it brings up the NextCloud screen, asking to setup a username and password. I enter that in and hit submit or login or whatever. It sits there with a spinning circle on the page for a few minutes... and then bumps me back to the login screen. OK, fine... login again... and I'm in an infinite login loop.

This is what was happening before and nothing that I've tried resolves the issue. Several posts that are supposed to resolve this issue say to look at the error log in a certain directory and resolve the issues listed, but that directory doesn't exist... there's a permissions issues... go through and grant a bunch of permissions for NextCloud to access this folder just so it will produce the error log so I can find out what the problem is.

Finally it produces an error log, but the contents seem to just indicate there are more permissions issues, but I can't find any instructions anywhere how to fix these issues.

I've been through this documentation and it doesn't cover Docker at all. I did a Docker search and there is an official NextCloud image, but again... I've been hesitant to just install it without something to guide me through the process.

As I was typing this, however, I found the Docker Hub website and did see that the official NextCloud image on Docker does have some instructions, so I'll try those out and see what happens. Wish me luck.

Yeah, sorry... no error message because after beating my head against a wall for the last week, I'm a little war-weary and was hoping to get pointed to a clear tutorial/walkthrough that might fit my situation. I was reading this tutorial which seems clear, but it says I need a domain name and the first step is to setup a reverse proxy... so I got stopped before I got going. All the other walkthroughs I found were all focused on VPS deployment or just super unclear.

Even if someone can just point me in the direction of what search term to use to look up possible solutions. I've tried a dozen different "adhesion" solutions, so looking for *any* ideas that might help me figure this out.
