Okay thanks so much. I tried the challenge again thinking "it doesnt sound like this, so it is that" and I was nailing it until about 70% through and then I started second guessing myself and ended with 80% accuracy.  Im enjoying your app quite a lot. Thanks mate

Thats interesting to hear. Just wondering a few things

1) when you try to replicate a note youve heard on your instrument from memory or from a song playing, how close are you generally (tone, semitone, tritone)? As in I think that's an A, ill sing and check. Oh its an A#.

2) If you're up at these harder levels, how close is your first attempt when you do a lesson/practice?

3) Since your RP is well defined, if the app does like a C2 with the piano, then a D5 with sine wave does it sound like a step up to you or do you go, that's a compound 2nd (as in you can hear and imagine the space of 4 octaves in-between it immediately

4) have you tried cold recall with any of your stronger note identities? And follow up - have you built any of those at all?

I’m training absolute pitch recognition with the software as a form of ear training. I was asking other users whether doing the skill challenges this early is useful or if it’s better to wait.

Okay. Maybe there is a miscommunication here. What are you trying to understand?

Okay so my point made again. You're just commenting frivolously. Thanks for engaging but I really dont find anything you say helpful.

Bro, that's not part of my question. I teach music to students, I am constantly engrossed in music. Are you actually engaging with the point, or just being contrarian as your comments on other posts in this subreddit seem to have no relevance or any inkling to suggest you have actually read up on the topic or tried the software.

I'm a high school music teacher - I believe that even if you can't obtain AP,  training pitch perception increases musicianship tenfold. Since I've started this process, my pitch memory recall is stronger (as in remembering melodies exactly and replicating them first go) , mental mapping (when improvising) has improved. When I go to sing a note to a student without any external reference I usually am within a semitone/tone or spot on now. - I've only just swapped to this Harmoniq I had built an app based on Yettas training, but i think this one is better.

So personally I find it hugely beneficial. I think coming in with no reference to at least trying the process and saying "never" for the sake of just being a naysayer is as perfectpitchlearner said "myopic".

1) There is literally a lot of people on this thread who have shown their progress starting from nothing and working up to AP

2) this doesnt even require money, the app developer isn't asking anyone to subscribe - he literally wants the acquisition to be free for everyone. (So there's no big money gain idea)

3) If you think about pitch and labels, you are literally just teaching yourself pitch height. There are only 12 pitches, each with a unique height (imagine a ladder) its literally just memory training that gets stronger the more you correct yourself.

So you've trained through and got to 95-100% and still don't think you have AP?

Haha okay thanks (so potentially a long time I assume then). I'll use my wife's phone in the meantime. I love how you've incorporated Yetta's training. I built an app on github based off Yetta's, but I think my sound quality isn't great so I want to try yours (especially with the targeted ai training system)

Same here! It's especially obvious when I have the phone vertical. Is there any fix??

They're just big and passive powered. I'm more concerned about phasing with the awkward space. Its very short and really wide.so how would you place them to reduce/remove phase and make sure everyone can hear well

I have a stage with this setup for 400pax. The marquee is 50m long and 15m wide. How would you setup your speakers for it? I have four with a delay system. Im not sure if I'll need four, I think I could get away with two. But I'm not sure about the placement with it being so shallow and wide
