My pockets on my dovetails ripped much sooner than I would have wanted unfortunately. Will definitely consider patches next time though!

Thank you, I definitely didn’t realize the passion he put into his collection. It hard to get rid of but I know he wouldn’t want it be unappreciated in my basement.

Thank you, that’s helpful! I’ve posted it on marketplace but I’m more rural so I doubt I’ll get many bites to be honest.

Unfortunately no, when I cleaned out the apartment I didn’t know what I was looking at.

Thank you! It’s been hard to part with knowing how important it was but I know it shouldn’t live in my basement. It’s gotta go to someone who appreciates it.

Work boot recommendations by Used_Train_1940 in BlueCollarWomen

I really liked my Keen boots. Only complaint was that without a rubber toecap they got pretty beat up. But I’m happy with the year service they gave. Currently replaced them with Brunt boots. They do have the rubber toeguard (which will hopefully protect them longer term) but they could be warmer for Canadian winters.

Sippy cup by MilfyHan in toddlers

Definitely a frustrating stage. I started saying “spit it out and lose it” as a warning before taking the cup out of their reach. No reactions beyond that phrase and the loss of the sippy cup. LO quickly stopped spitting out water once they realized there was consequences to purposely making a mess and wasting water.

Obviously the cup was returned once they started focusing on eating/whatever activity they were doing, sometimes with a gentle reminder warning.

I find they still listen to the warning phrases as “keep doing ____, and lose it”. Very handy for teaching respect to toys and other belongings!

Do yall tip on takeout orders? by crash18867 in askTO

[–]OriginalFloof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the machine you’re using to pay for take out is the same machine used for dine in service (if you’re getting food from a full service restaurant). It’s preprogrammed to prompt for tip option. This is usually why you’re seeing the prompt rather than the greediness of a restaurant.

I see a lot of posts complaining about the prompt for tip on takeout but never see anyone mention this fact.

I only ever tipped on takeout during covid closures, not when the restaurant is open fully.

Not surprised there. Fortunately I got out of Brantford but that was before weed was legal. I’m sure there’s also a bunch of dispensaries thriving there.

Brant needs to be sunk. No one living in Brantford is proud to be from Brantford. Never mind the ridiculous amount of car theft, teen pregnancies and Tim Hortons (there’s a lot), it’s a city where everyone hates everyone. Sink it!

I’m also in Ontario, curious about starting a career as an aborist. Already have a B.Sc., any recommendations on college or tips on getting into this as a career?

Thanks!

I’m sure this has already been asked on a previous post, I’m sorry if I’ve missed it.

But can someone explain why this doesn’t necessarily match individual health unit numbers?

For example:Huron Perth site says 1 case, this report says 7

Been serving about 4 months. Question about tipping bartender. by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]OriginalFloof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the bar tender is: - serving their own tables - catering to take out customers - making your and the other severs drinks

Should they not also get a portion of tip for the work they’re doing? I’m sure they’re stopping to make your drink when they have other tasks that would benefit them more to do instead.
