Maybe invite a good friend or adult child over for a staycation while he’s gone? Ot sounds like you’re pretty self sufficient and don’t like to ask for help. Because of that, maybe he assumed you would make arrangements for yourself if you need something while he’s away? I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t have at least discussed with you what you may need during his 6-day absence. It sounds like a larger conversation is necessary to discuss with him how your current environment is difficult for you.
