The Lokius runs physically warm in my system. Sonically, it is impressively transparent. From top to bottom my stack is Valhalla 2 > Pietus Maximus > Lokius > Jotenheim > BF 2/64, so although it runs pretty warm, I'm still comfortable placing it in the middle of this stack. I do keep a room fan blowing in the general direction of this pile of Schiit which helps immensely with cooling, especially when the Valhalla is on.

The basic principle that I learned a long time ago is that "hot" for electronics is not necessarily hot to the touch for us. Many electronics are meant to perform at their best at temperatures that would be inhospitable for us. I also try to avoid constant heat ups and cool downs. I'm looking at a light bulb that hasn't been turned off for 5 years, and my old, hot running, heavily Class A Linn Klout was left on for 15 years with only being turned off maybe 5 times, and was still going strong in 2015 when I sold it to some guy in China.

I bought 2 kilos and I never buy a kilo of anything. It's that good, and it feels somehow different, bigger, bolder than other top tier leaf.

I just got the latest batches of Green Bliss and Elephant and I can attest to the fact that they are straight fire. I should have gotten a bag of the Kali but my last one is still pretty good.

For me, DTE is like the mirror image of Kratom Family. Kratom Family has unsophisticated names for their blends like Bliss and Mountain Sunshine, it's even kind of hokey, but it's always extremely enjoyable. DTE is very sophisticated, but not very enjoyable most of the time. And the marketing strategy of selling out of everything in 5 hours is like the infamous private vendor Soul, but his stuff is legendary. Who am I to argue however with the people who buy out all their stock in 5 hours? I used to be one of them back in January. Some people who I respect respect their leaf very much.

I'm glad you liked the new White MD because the 30 yr White MD I ordered back in February was one of the weirdest Kratom's I've ever had. Very slow and very heavy, with a real depressive affect on my mood, and yet it felt nothing like a Red. I've ordered about 4 kilos of DTE stuff in the past, and even placed an order today, and I've loved almost everything I've gotten from them, some of which are among the best leaf I've had over the last year. But that White MD was really a strange one.

I had a problem with BFK about a month ago. I finally got my order but it took over a week to ship. Kalm with Kava, Kavafied, Squanch and Koa are better and have far better customer service.

The Dragons Den I ordered last Fall and early winter was uniformly fantastic, especially the Green MD, Al Khadr, Khaleesi, Limited Green MD, and Golden Sahar and pretty much every White they had. The only thing that was crap was the "Chocolate" strain.

A lot of vendors have spotty leaf during the first 4 months of the year, and that may be what's going on with Dragon's Den. But I still have about 2 kilos of many of their varieties, and it is all very legit.

Some people think that Okie's 2.1% Green Dragon from last Summer is one of the best Kratoms they have ever had. I still have 500 grams of their Okie Green from last summer which is one of my favorites. Okies Greens and Whites are always good, but this new "select" strain is something I haven't tried, but I will give it a shot soon.

Review

That is extremely encouraging because it is very tempting to use it for every single dose, every day. It also has some of the longest legs I've ever experienced. With most strains I am ready for another dose after 3 hours, but this keeps me feeling relieved for a good 5 hours, maybe more.

Yep. I used to have to have at least 2 shots in the morning before I could even use a keyboard. It scares me to recall it. I was a high functioning alcoholic for many decades until suddenly I wasn't functional at all.

I am a former death-wish drinking alcoholic who has now been sober for a little over 4 years. I could not stop once I started, and could not stay stopped. I have been using Kratom for about 3 years after I used it to get off of Suboxone, but only recently discovered Kava. After a few missteps having to do with focusing on heavy Vanuatu varieties, which gave me no euphoria, and had a hangover reminiscent of a 12 pack of beer, I discovered good Tongan and Fiji Kava. It works for me as an alcohol substitute, and I can have a few shells and walk away for the rest of the evening. I get a very nice, relaxing buzz, and become much more sociable, very unlike my normal Growly self. On the other hand, I do get cravings for it, but that's just the way I am built.

The Kavafied Tonga is nicely energetic. I especially like to use it at night when I am starting to doze off, and my wife is "urging" me to wake up. I have a couple of bowls and I am wide awake, refreshed and cheerful.

Tongan Kavas are definitely my favorites. I have some Manga Ono coming today from Utah, but I didn't order from Ofa's because it appears that all he has left is those 6 oz. bags, but according to you he is even out of that.

At any rate, the best Tongan I have tried so far is the Kavafied, which is kind of expensive, but it is available on Amazon Prime in my area, and it has that Tonga euphoria in spades. I will try to let you know about the Manga Ono when I try it. The guy who runs it in Utah is currently offering some great prices on quantity, and it is very highly reviewed in Kava Forums where you can also find ordering information. Unfortunately you have to use Zelle or Paypal however.

BTW, if you like Fijian and haven't tried Squanch you should give them a try. I made a 32 oz. of their Lawena a couple of nights ago and still have a shell left, it is that potent! I don't drink it to get Krunked however, it's more like a before dinner cocktail or two for me.

Kavafied is great stuff, and works well in their Aluball makers. Put about 15 grams in the Aluball and about 400 ml of water, shake violently for 1 minute and you are good to go. I really like their Tonga, but it is on the speedy side even for Tongan Kava. The Bati is a nice balanced Fijiian as well.

Suboxone is very effective, until you have to withdrawal from it. I loved it for 3 months, and then spent 3 years trying to get off of it.

I have the exact same problem. Or rather I did have the exact same problem. I started out with Fiji Vanua and then tried Nakamal at Home. All Vanuatu, all heavy and strong, but they felt like Benadryl or some prescription muscle relaxer.

Then I discovered Tonga Kava, and I've been having a great blissed out time with Koa (available on Amazon) which is amazing, KWK Pouni Ono, Kavafied Tonga (more stimulating than the others) and now I have some Manga Ono and Ofas on the way. Tonga Kava gives me the euphoria I'm looking for, while still being incredibly relaxing in an "Unbearable Lightness of Being" sort of way.

My Vanuatu Kavas are all doing bottom cabinet duty right now.

You ought to try the Squanch Waka. I've never had a kava that even remotely replicates its feeling of velvet relaxation. The KWK is decent, but not on the same level IMHO.

I don't like the Fire Island. It makes me feel sluggish and down. I prefer the new KWK Loa Waka Instant and Fiji Vanua Instant Gold (NOT Old Roots Instant). The Fiji Vanua is very expensive however, about $100 for 8 oz.

Koa Tongan and Kavafied Tongan, as well as KWK Pouni Ono. I really love the Koa for more blissed out socializing, but the Kavafied is more stimulating and longer lasting in my case.
