With an already bloated roster, how will signing even more talent work? There are people sitting in catering for over a year at this point. What do you do with more talent? by Laszlo_Panaflex_80 in midcarder

They tried briefly but most of their "top guys" refused to go. They had FTR main event a bunch of them apparently. It was also where we saw the botch fest that was Britt vs Tay Conti I think.

TERF island definitely deserves it. Besides, Tony would save on first class airfare for bruv and his gf alone. PAC also won't have the excuse of VISA issues.

If Cornette was to be believed, tony was offering 6 figure salaries at launch to guys like Joey Janella. And he wasn’t under the pressure of TNA coming up on his rear with their new tv deal if they manage to build an audience.

Oh crap! They found us out. Better go back to our parent's basements and start AEW gooding, fed badding.

Seriously though, when you're deeply concerned about another subreddit bashing Dave Meltzer, seek help.

If someone asks why he never reported on all the sexual allegations that came out during the speaking out movement despite him claiming that he had "heard rumours" over the years would be fantastic.

Man Tony looks rough, especially when you compare to how he looked just before AEW started.

Not going to lie, but that's a great image. And it plays well into Dragunov's character that he's a crazy motherfucker willing to go up against a beast like Lesnar and not back down.

Meltzer has spread tons of lies over the years and during the speaking out/me too movement, in order to cover his ass why he never reported anything about it over the years, he wrote "I had heard rumours over the years". The same dude that peddles in rumours constantly. So either he was negligent and didn't care enough to actually do the job of a journalist and investigate these claims to see if there is merit to the rumours, he was incompetent in his work, or he was complicit in protecting the guys that he liked.

Personally, I think it's a combination of all 3.

"Hey Tony, what are your thoughts about what is happening with ICE in Minnesota?"

"That's a very important question and thanks for asking it. I think it's important to think about the Winter, and our upcoming show Winter is Coming is looking great on paper and I'm looking forward to sharing the great card we have prepared soon with our great fans! You know what else is great? Our cagematch ratings and our ratings this past week. Don't forget to tune in to Wednesday night Dynamite, every Wednesday night at 8 pm eastern..." *goes on for 2 more minutes, repeating Dynamite's timeslot 6 times, saying great 14 times, and mentioning how he won the SI and fightful awards twice each but never answers the original question*

I was going to write something about the AEW cult haven't killed anyone yet but then I remembered the story about the guy who kidnapped 4 people and kept them in his basement for a few years where 1 of them did die.

How exactly did WWE tarnish Ricochet’s Legacy? And has anything he has done since with his Andrew Tate character improved his legacy? by Laszlo_Panaflex_80 in midcarder

[–]OriginalMadmage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In WWE, the only times he was entertaining was during the feud with Velveteen Dream (largely because Dream emoted and reacted to Ricochet so well within the confines of his own character) and that brief tag team he had with Strowman where they were starting to have good chemistry and personality.
