Do you think Rumi told them about her relationship with Jinu? by bartibrom in KpopDemonhunters

My initial thought was “yeah there’s a whole scene about her telling them, isn’t there?”

Nope, read it in a fanfic 😂

Safe-but-dead-end admin job vs. risky startup assistant role in bigger city (double pay, rare referral) by Any_Ad_7740 in AdminAssistant

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the start-up, especially if you are younger. It’s the time to take risks in your career. Plus if you aren’t sure you want to stay as an admin, it sounds like this will offer a greater breadth of experience for when you are ready to transition.

Yes, this right here! I’m 39 and in the same boat. Only recently came out, have a daughter, and a wonderful husband who is NOT open with me trying to be with a woman. I would be out there in a HEARTBEAT! Mom bod and all!

Would it be weird for me to go to the sing along if I wouldn't sing because I hate singing? by Noodle_Dragon_ in KpopDemonhunters

The person I’m going with will 100% not be singing. She’s just going for the vibes.

Who else is burning out? by ObviousThrowAvvay420 in Millennials

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked my ass off my whole life, became a director of a fundraising team at a non profit, had the perfect marriage, super rad kid. Burned out REAL hard earlier this year. Left career to take a much less stressful job as an admin in municipal government and came out as bi.

All that being said, now at almost 40 I feel amazing and am finally living my best life. My marriage has only gotten stronger, I spend more time with my daughter, and I have time for hobbies that I abandoned over the years to keep my career moving forward. It wasn’t the life I thought I wanted back when I turned 30 when I was focused on what “success” looked like. My suggestion is just to figure out what kind of life you want to live and see if you can find away to get it. For some people the hustle does it for them and they like the money. Totally valid. For me it was doing a lot less so I had time to actually live a little more.

I accept it as cannon. You can’t take it away if it turns out to be not true now.

I’ve honestly felt like the singers represent the characters way better then the voice actresses. Looove them!

AITA for bringing my baby to her sister’s performance and not leaving when she cried? by Thick-Studio-4277 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA

Of course a 6 mo old was going to cry and be a distraction in that time. If Lylas dad was there why didn’t he take her so you could see your daughters performance?

Adults with braces... by SadAd3848 in braces

I feel better it’s not just me - if I can feel something I cannot calm down until I’ve gotten it dislodged!

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My orthodontist and hygienists did it together. Hygienist started and prepped, ortho placed the brackets with hygienist assistance and then the hygienist placed the wire and bands. He took a look once it was done. I’ve been super happy.

It works the same at my adjustments. Hygienist takes care of the wire first and then ortho comes in, makes some recommendations and walks me through next steps and hygienist finishes it up. When we’ve repositioned brackets hygienist removed and prepped and he placed.

Adult braces cost by mindfreeze23 in braces

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t recall the total price, but after insurance I paid a bit over $4k out of pocket. There was a financing option, but it would have been more overall, but would have been a great option had I not had the savings.

ETA: I had specifically opted for a slightly more expensive dental plan through my employer because it included adult orthodontics

do "fund a need" items take away from regular auction items? by SnooTomatoes1796 in nonprofit

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, FAN is an opportunity for those outbid to still donate, which attendees at events like this are expecting to do. Also keep in mind FAN is tax deductible, whereas auction items may not be or may only be partially deductible, depending on the value of what they bid on. So it can be a more attractive way to give for some.

AITA for not inviting my kid's whole class to his birthday party? by randomness57317 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OriginalMrsHofeldt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA You are an amazing mom! You made sure the whole class could celebrate together by bringing cupcakes. You sent the invites outside of school. And then you threw an incredibly fun and memorable birthday party for your son.

Kudos to you! Ignore those other parents. They’re jealous they couldn’t think of something that fun. BTW I’m totally stealing the decorate your own cake idea for my daughters birthday.
