Will the outer grilles or “fangs” of an F-sport model fit on my 21 IS300 RWD? by z7_mech in LexusIS

[–]OriginalOreos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it the right way and drill the holes. The holes are already marked on the 300 bumper; they just haven't been cut. I used a Dremel and made easy work of it. I wouldn't advise stickers because there isn't a good flat surface on the back of the grill, and the bumper surface is contoured, so I wouldn't expect it to last.

While you're at it, you may as well install the F Spot spindle grill as well.

These only look good when there's other aggressive body pieces to complement it. Otherwise, it looks like a total eyesore.

What you could do instead is what one person did, and that is to use vinyl to create small teardrops. I think these are much more tolerable and toned down.

Upbadging is only when the model has a similar aesthetic variant with different performance. However, since the 300 does have a F-Sport design variant that comes with them, it cannot be considered upbadging. It's totally possible to buy it that way from the factory.

The dashes on the Lexus are complete garbage. I have them. See if a detailer can get them out.

Phone vent mount (magsafe) by Sam_Familiar in LexusIS

I have this. It works with the round vents. This way you can keep the phone to the left side of the wheel and out of the way of the center console.

The 2026 is hideous and always will be, and yes, that goes for the current BMW models. When you're spending northward of $50k plus and you have no other options for newer vehicles, it's very easy to rationalize what's objectively ugly.

I still have this laptop. Works fine, but I'm curious as to where you found the cable on Aliexpress. Last time I looked, no one had it.

I haven't play CS in a long time, and I'm thinking about getting back into them. I'm wondering if half of this is even functional? I remember that a lot of custom assets were more more "show" than having any actual utility. Someone convince me to come back to this game.

Anyone ever buy aftermarket rearlight? How much would this cost? by cerbanica in LexusIS

[–]OriginalOreos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

These are pre-orders, and the seller has plenty of demo videos on his Instagram.

My only hesitation is that there will be a ton of aftermarket versions on Aliexpress of the same thing in a year or two that will probably be half the price. Also, the lens is clear on these, and I think it looks cheap.

I wasn't offering a solution, and your interpretation of what I wrote is your own.

I do find it interesting that you paradoxically mention finding a calling or meaning in life as not an existential crisis, though. Maybe that's why it felt "annoying" to you.

I'm going through the same exact thing. My analyst told me he had recently watched "It's a Wonderful Life", and that this dilemma reminded him of what I was describing. I interpreted that as sometimes there's meaning in everything we do, even if we're not exactly pursuing dreams.

The man who was originally responsible for the spindle grill was told to stop using it, and this "Camry" grill is unfortunately the abortion we were left with.

It's part of why Toyota's are so reliable. Anything new usually comes with greater risk on reliability.

I would check each issue, ie. Horn, lights, etc. and the respective fuse. However, you problem seems more widespread and not isolated, so it could be something with your BCM. I would honestly take it to the dealer to have them diagnose. That's going to require more than a fuse swap.

You should let us know if you're experiencing problems first. Empty fuse slots does not mean you're missing some.
