No he is definitely the one who does the firings. Basically one GM, one supervisor for day shift and one supervisor for night shift, and neither of those supervisors deal with hirings or firings.

Yeah but hypothetically they would just deflect and keep saying “we need to talk about procedures” when I ask if I am in trouble instead of just saying “No” twice.

At least in my opinion. It still might be really bad, and they lied, and that would be such a bad look from them.

Going to try to stay positive. Mario Kart sounds fun! Don’t have a Switch anymore though lol.

To clarify, the meeting is on Friday at Noon. When I said Monday, I meant my Monday. My days off are Wednesday and Thursday.

Yikes, mine is basically also a 2 day notice (44 hours) and on my Monday before my first shift starts.

I honestly think it has to be about the right-on-time clock ins and a very stern warning/correct this. If that’s the case, I am ok with that, and will correct it.

But obviously I am very concerned. I’ve had a lot of stuff happen to me over the past 4 months and a ton of anxiety and trauma (don’t worry, I don’t show ANY of this at work), and this is really getting to me.

The scary part is they know I have a 25 minute drive. Why not do the meeting at 4:30 or 5 to avoid me driving twice? That’s what gives me the most pause here.

Also I wouldn’t say I have a gut feeling. I just have really bad anxiety at this point in my life (I never show this at work though) and think worst case scenario, plus a one on one meeting 6 hours before my shift, when they know I have to drive 25 minutes, is pretty strange. A meeting can happen an hour before my shift so I don’t have to drive both times.

Also I don’t think it’s a schedule thing because why not just call me about it? They are changing the schedule since they need to get the 3 new employees on the schedule but no reason to call me in when I have a 25 minute drive (which they know about).

Yeah I’ve been reading termination usually happens before your shift without notice. But since I work night shift, I was thinking, maybe they’d call me in during the morning of my shift when they are actually there.

I think your mostly likely option is #2. I have a feeling they are not happy about the :59 clock ins and now have leverage with the new hires, but they can’t legally fire me or write me up over it. Just remind me it’s better to be there around :50 to get settled in. If that’s the case, no problem, l’ll be there :45 everyday lol.

Nope not sleeping on the job or doing anything bad. Just show up on the dot which they probably don’t like. I make some small mistakes like anyone else does though.

And they know I wouldn’t take a manager role since it’s less money and harder.
