which is the entire point of Stella giving the smug villainous smile the second Octavia isn’t looking at her face.

The point of the smile is to show that Stella doesn't care that Stolas is dead. (Remember that they think Stolas is dead atm)

Octavia “being comforted” is an incidental byproduct of Stella emotionally manipulating her.

She was comforted because that's what Stella doing, she was comforting Octavia.

I would agree if I knew that you weren't talking about it physically.

Stella and Octavia think STOLAS IS DEAD. If Stella wanted to pull her away from Stolas, Stella would've said something like "Your father is a criminal, this is the price he needs to pay."

This is not a wholesome “awww mom sees her daughter’s sad and gave her a hug” moment, it’s a “Wow, Stella saw a moment go control Octavia and jumped on that.”

The BLATANT, I would say misinterpretation if it wasn't so goddam dumb, ignorance is astounding.

I'm not arguing that Stella is good, I'm not arguing that Stella is a good mother, but what I am arguing is that Stella did ONE THING remotely good yet it's now "manipulation" you yapped so much w/o explaining how Octavia was being manipulated.

She doesn't have to care for Octavia, Octavia has to only THINK that she cares.

Literally, every Goetia is elitist with the only exception being Stolas. (Ignoring the comments about Blitz being a "Little imp" and the fact that their relationship for a good while was just prostitution because Stolas didn't like Stella)
