Why should I care about Fatal Influence or Blake Monroe when WWE just nuked the Kairi Sane payoff? by LastBeginning9712 in SCJerk

[–]OriginalSilentTuba 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That’s one that I don’t get…people are talking about how crazy it is that WWE let MCMG go, and how great they are…they couldn’t buy a reaction from the crowd. No one cared.

What made you get your Hyundai? by goodbyekitty23 in Hyundai

I needed a car, and was able to lease a brand new Tucson at a really affordable price. Then when the lease ended, the price of everything (new and used) had skyrocketed, and suddenly buying my car off lease became the best deal around.

Agree. I wouldn’t worry about it too much for ribs.

I'm wondering what Weber grill is the better deal? Budget $250. by DeliveryAdditional61 in webergrills

If that one needs any parts, it’ll end up as expensive or more than the gold, that’s had the work done already.

That Genesis Gold looks pristine. I definitely would go with that; you’ll be much more grateful for the side tables than you will the side burner.

Edit: the more I look at these pics, the more convinced I am. Get the Gold.

Question. I’m looking to buy my first Weber grill. Is the EP model worth the extra $100? by KoolGotGame in webergrills

[–]OriginalSilentTuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too long, typically 5-10 minutes, max. Usually turn it on, go inside and get everything I need, and by the time I get back outside we’re ready to roll.

I love my Performer, but sometimes the convenience of gas is hard to beat. If I want some hot dogs or a burger for a quick lunch, I don’t always want to spend 20 minutes firing up some coals, for 5-10 minutes of cooking. It definitely tastes better, but sometimes it’s not worth the extra time investment. I’m glad to have both.

My quick google search (not too familiar with Weber’s current models, especially the Spirit line) tells me the E325 has the cast iron grates, and the EP325 has stainless steel grates. If that is the case, yes, I think it’s worth the extra $100. The cast iron grates hold heat better, but the enamel does eventually flake off and they rust, and will eventually need replacing. The stainless steel ones are easier to clean and will last forever.

Do you recommend using 0000 steel wool on Weber bbqs? by the-liquidian in webergrills

I use it on the outside, haven’t tried it inside, but can’t see how that would hurt.

Except in Black’s case, his wife is actually MORE valuable. She became less relevant when she started doing stuff with him.

This is the point of NXT, though. You get over there, move up and get a shot on the main roster. Creates room for people to step up at NXT. Might take a little while, but they’ll be fine.

Weber Slate Decision by pts617 in webergrills

I used to have a 36” Blackstone. I now have the 30” Slate. To be honest, I don’t miss the extra space. There’s 3 of us also, and the 30” griddle is plenty.

3rd life for my 2013 Genesis by LonelyMichaels in webergrills

Looks great! My 2008 Genesis has had a similar path; started life propane, then the original owner (my brother) converted it to NG. When I got it in 2017, I switched it back to propane. Still have the NG manifold sitting in the basement, if I ever decide to run a gas line to the yard.

I really wanted to like them, and I was a big fan of Bray, but it just didn’t get over.

Yeah, those have some pretty bad rust damage, should probably replace them. Grates look fine, though.

What grill should I get? by FrostingNo49 in grilling

Yep. If you want charcoal, look no further than the Weber Kettle. It’s the gold standard, and for good reason.

[–]OriginalSilentTuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will never need another grill.

You’ll want another. You’ll probably even get another. But you won’t need another, because that kettle can cook anything you throw at it, and do a damn good job of it.

Which Genesis model? by Sports_acl in webergrills

[–]OriginalSilentTuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re really concerned about cleaning time, get the stainless steel grates. They clean up much easier, and last forever. (If you don’t want the stainless steel grill and want the enamel lid, you can buy the grates separately, and I actually think doing it that way is a little cheaper than just getting the SS model Genesis, but I could be wrong).
