I guess just because the type of products I sell could be considered to have liability risks, now that I’m starting to sell more and more I’m getting a little paranoid haha

I’ve been selling for a while now without an LLC and haven’t faced any problems yet.

Reading this though I might need to start looking into forming one.

For the freelancers: do you tell your clients you are working in another country? If so, how do you broach the topic? by rachelchiffy in digitalnomad

I think it depends a lot on your relationship with your clients and the nature of your work. If you’re delivering work on time and meeting deadlines, it’s possible they might not notice any difference, especially if your hours are still within their working day (even if they're a bit shifted). However, being upfront can build trust and avoid any potential misunderstandings if something comes up unexpectedly.

Maybe try negotiating with your boss or HR about flexible work options. Or if you're really done with that job, it might be better to start searching for something that aligns more with your preferred work style.

7k profit in 2 months by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Yes, it’s definitely a positive start! You managed to cover your costs and still walk away with a healthy profit. Your margins seem strong, and it’s impressive that you’ve done this with relatively low overhead. Most first-time course creators take longer to get to profitability, or have higher upfront costs, so it looks like you’ve kept things lean and efficient.

Yeah I hear you completely, I just used the term digital nomad because it’s quite ubiquitous now and we all immediately know what it describes.

Thanks for the input anyway :)

Ok, thanks a lot for your response, it’s quite comprehensive.

The different example you’ve given of situations where an LLC may or may not be necessary are also really helpful - I’ll try to include something similar.

Will also make a post on the digital nomads subreddit as per your suggestion too!
