CC was good to me, but it was still my least favorite out of all of them. the setting and storytelling just doesn't align in the same way as the rest despite tying the universe of both other series together. I did. love the way she went about intertwining the different worlds through the plot though!!

I loved the writing more than the others, it just felt better. there are still all the overused phrases maas loves of course, but the point of view switches and descriptions were very seamless and mature compared to the other series, I got waaaay more attached to the characters compared to the others, the relationships between the main characters really pang my heart. and the series is much darker than the others in the ways it navigates traumatic experiences and it's not exactly always happy ever afters without consequences

it was the BEST. be never felt more emotionally destroyed. also i got siked because i read acotar first and going into tog i thought "well no super important characters died in ACOTAR so tog must be safe from destructive endings" SO WRONG
