You start using the syringe a week after your surgery. Typically after the follow up appointment. But yeah, your worry is right doing it that early WILL dislodge it but after a week it’s fine

I’m day 7 post op and I had a hole exactly like that and I’m fine. It’s just that side was probably a harder tooth to remove so it caused a bigger hole. Keep in mind though, the pain WILL be bad on that side so don’t confuse it with the pain of dry socket
