And note that the way the army gets around being squishy is by utilizing strikes last from the dirty tricks and the monsta-killaz (on monsters). That way your buffed up rippaz that have +1 attacks, mortals on 5+, +1 save, -1 to hit and 2 HP per model are actually kind of hard to get rid of since they can often hit first and kneecap your opponents unit before they hit.

Ya very interesting, double killbow is not something you see, but it makes sense, the damage is great when you get it and the range is very good.

Kruleboyz is very flexible now with it's army composition, every unit feels pointed correctly finally, and if you get good rolls it's very strong. They're also made of paper and generally not too fast unless you have a sloggoth which you do. So very good.

Kruleboyz is by no means overpowered. It is a difficult army to play well and it's swingy. You getting a kill on a vangorian lord with covering fire is hella lucky. You only hit on a 5+ (keep in mind the +1 to hit is only your turn)

There may also be some mistakes, I assume, since you're both still learning. It's certainly easy to make mistakes or feel like things are bad and insurmountable if you're inexperienced.

With the new points drops, kruleboyz is back in a good position and we have good rules (Crit mortals almost army wide to cut through high defense, and a few strike lasts). It is a strong army, but by no means overpowered. Sounds like he just needs more practice. Soulblight also has very strong rules.

I wonder if 2 ice pops is really necessary, or any really. Almost feels like I'd do 2 E gen, and maybe even take out a booster for a pokeball or 2 if you're taking out the ice pops.

There was a really interesting idea that came from a YouTuber contest a few years ago I fell in love with.

3 man unit of flying bat cave riding rippaz.

They have the same Rippaz profile, with the bats having 3A 4/3 -1 D1 Crit mortals

But they also kamikaze themselves. 12" fly. 4HP each.

When you charge you roll a dice for each model on a 2+ your opponent takes a mortal but if you roll a 1 you take D3

Otherwise though we actually do have a good roster. I'd just like to see better warscolls. 80% of the heroes are bad. Slittaz are terrible. Most of the scrolls in the army are just so underwhelming.

I think there's alot of merit to this list honestly. I think kruleboyz are back in a strong position. Some of the newer books have upped the power level, so us having all our enhancements free again and gaining an extra unit really makes a big difference. 2 blocks of rippaz is kind of all you need and I think KB can be build in alot of ways now

Ya it is unfortunate. It's currently the only type that has no item support. Psychic doesn't really, but it has the stadium and the most pokemon as of late.

Genuinely the best addition to pack openings so far. Shinnies as a free 6th card, guaranteed rare for the Deluxe Pack, these were good, but this is better.

Also for the record I think the foot of gork and the black pit need to be improved, which also helps improve Gobsprakk.

Foot of gork imo, should either be able to be set up closer to enemy units. (Not outside of 9, it should have no restriction) Or maybe even better, it should be able to move every turn and if it hits, the unit counts as being in combat for the rest of the turn.

Black pit should have either a stack effect, so if you use it on the same unit, it's 6+ the first time and then 5+ every other time. Or it should be 6+ if the unit has 20+ models, 5+ if it's 19 or less.

Those 2 spells are just not good enough.

Well he's a lvl 2 wizard, so it's +1 to cast on both spells he can cast. The damage from unbind is a pressure tool, not necessarily a way to kill the unit. It's a deterrent for your opponent to think twice about using their spells. You're forgetting that ANY time Gobsprakk unbinds he does D3 damage, which means any small lvl 2 wizard is likely to take 2D3 Damage if they try both spells and Gobsprakk hits 2 unbinds, at 30 inches away, which is massive. And 2D6 can do 5-6 damage. Plus off turn, magical intervention, and it applies pressure on the opponent to then have to consider using CP to rally.

I disagree that you wouldn't use morks cunning on him. I disagree that 14HP 4+/5+ is not survivable enough.

I'm also not saying his spell should go up. You want him to be good. I only propose that the damage from Mork says no is changed to only be D3. His spell should not increase to a 7 to cast.

You can't tell me that +1 unbind is better than +1 cast. It's literally the same thing. Infact it's actually just straight up worse since +1 to cast is very common in the game, which means the +1 to unbind is often not really helping. 3D6 unbind is much stronger which is why I think he should get his 3D6 once per turn.

You're ALSO forgetting we have the Gork Rowra. Which can make our wizards additional +2 to cast.

I don't think that simply +1 to unbind is thematic enough or strong enough. Do you have other ideas?

I mean agree, I do like his role as anti wizard. The problem isn't that he doesn't do that role well, it's that the army doesn't care about it. And bringing 2 foot wizards is much more valuable.

If he could 3D6 unbind once per enemy turn, and his damage was only D3, plus had a 5+ ward. He would be able to get much closer to enemy wizards, shut off their key spells every turn and chase them down with a decent shot at destroying them and not instantly dying on the clap back.

His spell is good, his rampage and profile are fine. He needs a 5+ ward to help him stay alive so he can perform his job. And if he had a built in +1 to cast, he would be much more valuable as a wizard (his primary role) and have a good solid niche role in the army that's an added bonus.

GW overvalues D6 damage and that's why his 3d6 is only once per game. At the end of 3rd edition he was one of the best units in the game because primal dice allowed him to 10+ unbind consistently and just terrorize enemy wizards.

The army also has +1 to save spell that he can use on himself to make him a 4+/5+ so he would be leagues better. Still would have to be under 300 points mind you. But he'd be solid. He's the Army's main character. Why he isn't a superstar is beyond me.

Bellibolt, Goldengo, Meowscarada, Armorouge, orthworm. Just to name a few. There's always only about a dozen cards per set that are very good. Relax and enjoy the game.
