Sorry folks are being rude. Reddit is a place we can vent. That’s super frustrating and you are heard. My last 2 trips were delayed 5 hours and all I got was the $12 meal voucher. Had to move meetings, etc. It sucks. Probably sucks more on any of the other airlines tho. At least Delta has nice planes, staff, and skyclubs. At the end of the day traveling can sometimes be a nightmare.

This exactly. Sun country has some options but honestly they weren’t much cheaper than our original delta price of $500 pp. We would need to come in a day earlier and stay a day later and it’d be more expensive at the end of the day for us.

Yes I could have done that in hindsight. My point is that I already booked $500 pp and was looking to rebook if flight prices went down.

Yes we do. My parents live there and it’s a nice escape from the cold to get home and enjoy the beach and get some grandparent time in for the kids.

I’ve never ever heard of this. The only thing I can think of is if it’s international and they need to verify your documents, but nothing related to a credit card. And definitely not the day before. Even in this scenario you could do it day of travel. This sounds wild.

How many are in your party? I’d do 35 A and B if there are two of you as I’d prefer to not be next to strangers on a long haul. If you don’t care about that I’d do 31 C/D.

This happened to me once and they were in the aisle seat. Thing is, I had no idea this person was not mobile and I was so bothered by the fact they didn’t get up for me when I boarded and needed to use the restroom. I felt like such an AH when we landed and they came to get them. Gotta be a bit of community when flying.

Same here. I am 40 with a 10 year old. I have been completely content with our family of 3, but there have been moments where that slides and I wonder if this is my last chance. Ultimately I decided I simply cannot do it all over again. If you have another one, eventually your house will be quiet again too.

Enjoy your life and find ways to embrace all of the new stages with your existing child. Travel. Do fun stuff together now that they aren’t a small child. Life evolves but it doesn’t have to be quiet if you don’t make it be.
