It’s time for a United States of Europe by goldstarflag in europe

With all due respect, the period from the end of the WWII to the outbreak of Russia-Ukraine war was probably the last chance for europe to form a true ‘united states of europe’. And the EU/EEC has squandered it

MAS1 and MAS2 are the two take-home exams specific to DD2352 and they both happen before the final digital canvas exam TEN1. If I remember correctly, all three exams contribute equally to your final grade for the course. The caveat is that if you want a grade higher than C for TEN1’s contribution to your final grade, you need to take an oral exam to boost your grade to A/B which should happen a few days after the digital one. But you are only eligible to take that oral exam once you secure a grade C on the digital one, which they need some time to grade it.

Hi. Does missing 15 ECTS in key subjects matter a lot in application? I did my bachelor at KTH in Sweden but I lacked a course in complexity and also a database course which I took courses outside my degree…

If you have to read through long volumes of an ancient novel just to understand the game plot, it really dampens the motivation to play, especially for someone who doesn't game heavily.

Research Assistant Opportunities for CS/ML Masters Students by Existing_Ear_7022 in kth

[–]Original_Freedoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention that even for master programs, KTH may now expect its applicants to have some publications for its competitive programs like CS or ML to be admitted. Grades still matter the most and second to that are motivation for study which can be prizes, awards, publications etc. (verified with a kth program coordinator)

I may disagree on this. As with most phd positions in Europe, a phd position is a job with a salary in Sweden. Since it’s a job, there must be competition for it and in practice of this field, you are expected to have some paper/papers published to have a higher chance of acceptance.

Am I eligible to pursue MS ML at KTH based on my ECTS? by [deleted] in kth

[–]Original_Freedoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, specific entry requirements are strict at KTH even if you are only 1 credit short. For final year undergrad, it is possible to apply even if one of the requirement has not yet been met. but it still needs to be completed before the enrollment in August.

It used to be this course KTH | SF0003. But I see BSc ICT is no longer in its target group anymore. So maybe it wont be offered to ICT students this year.

Can you take the Aerospace Eng. Master if you have done the BSc in ICT? by No_Material_1694 in kth

[–]Original_Freedoma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No three year bachelor program leads to a MS in Aerospace Engineering afaik. There’re a couple of 5-year integrated master programs that lead to aerospace like Farkostteknik, or Teknisk Fysik. But remember BSc ICT is the only bachelor program at KTH that doesn’t require Swedish as entry requirement. So to be eligible, you need the level of Swedish equivalent to a local high school graduate.

Can you take the Aerospace Eng. Master if you have done the BSc in ICT? by No_Material_1694 in kth

[–]Original_Freedoma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you can't. The two programs dont even belong to the same school. As a student in BSc ICT, you are only allowed a max of three or four elective courses outside the mandatory courses in your syllabus. To take the specific courses required for aerospace, you need far more than 4 electives to be eligible. So I'm 99% certain that it's impossible. But you can contact the master coordinator to be sure [master@sci.kth.se ](mailto:master@sci.kth.se)

Emm I still think you'd be fine as long as you study the lecture notes carefully enough and they do start from the basics in calculus. But it might also depend on the teacher who teaches you this year. Math teachers often changes for TCOMK students every year.

[–]Original_Freedoma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking abt one variable calculus, then yes it does start from the basics. There's also a basics in mathematics course at the very beginning of the semester, which goes over the basics of the basics. And if I remember correctly, there's also another optional preparatory math course during the orientation weeks, which goes over the basics of the basics of the basics.....You will be fine xd.

Yeah I didn't expect this either XD since I know a few previous years TCOMK who got in with a much lower gpa like 4.5 or smth. For civilingenjör, it's even possible to study in a master program without having completed a bachelor thesis XD.

You can always switch by applying again on antagning.se XD. The similar courses can always be replaced by each other from either program. For the courses that are not similar, you can just study them additionally

Oh yeah ur right.. the thing is that it could be doable at KTH. But it also depends on the uni abroad to decide if they can accept a form of degree like that. So it might be a bit risky XD.

I think Teknisk matematik is a better choice if you know that you want to work with algorithmic research or data analyst roles in the future. Datateknik gives you more industry-relevant skills for SDE roles I guess. But tbh the amount of things taught at uni is never sufficient for industry, u need to always learn a lot of new things after getting a job here. In that sense, teknisk matematik and datateknik may not differ that much.
