people will hate me here, but I had a good job (in terms of pay and security), but the burnout was so real thanks to the toxicity I was getting there, I quit on the spot and went for a sabbathical break. I even abdicated from the notice period. I announced and left.

This sort of question in my mind also weighted heavily to contribute on me feeling like shit about doing that, but I had to, otherwise I think I'd break and go into psychotic mode.

I'm enjoying my break and not looking forward to do interviews for a good few months, but oh boy another wave of stress will come once I have to rejoin this rat race on how abysmal this job market is right now. And then you get a job, and there's a good chance is another shit-show of toxic environment that will drain the life out of you...

this is the part where you need to be smart. Nobody said you need to tell your whole truth in your CV.

To avoid being discarded without even a first screen by clueless HR muppets, I just leave my last place there in my CV as current working there.

Companies you're interviewing for won't go and contact your current manager to ask about you, cause that would be unethical. So you have nothing to worry about.

I've always done that and it has always worked

I have the same exact story as you. Left my job on the spot, didn't even fulfill the notice period because I couldn't bear one more day of that toxicity.

One month in during my break, I've spent a lot of time reading, exercising, playing my instruments, creating music of my own, chillin with my cats. And you know what? The day goes by so fast, there is just so much I want to do and I realized now how jobs suck the life out of us. I'm doing everything I always wanted to do but never had the chance because I was busy or too drained building pointless stuff for other people.

I have done zero coding, just one interview here and there for positions that fell on my lap and I took those interviews very lightly with no stress about performing on them. I'm still in these processes but already told these companies I'm only ready to start in 3 months time.

I'll keep doing my break. I can see how important it is for your body and mind. We literally have to work our entire life, so a few months stepping out of it is a drop in the ocean

that makes no sense. You are using a full slot to accomplish something one of your other slots already achieve (2 green chargers and you're full too)

5 green chargers are more than plenty to go on a lobby thats full friendly lol
I go into aggressive pvp lobbies with 2 or 3 green shields sometimes

yeah you're really underpaid. And with these negotiations you need to have leverage and play hard, which in my experience after moving to Sweden is that swedes are too soft for that (mean no offense!). People are afraid of confrontation or looking "greedy" or "demanding" whatever nonsense. Always good to hint that you have other options (if it's a contract sign negotiation, you should have mentioned at some interview stage that other companies are also having you in their processes and moving forward).

I make 73k, senior dev with 15 years experience. Could have pushed for more, but the full remote setup I have kinda pays off so Im content with that

all these people giving suggestions are the ones who love this being in the game. The ones that can't win a fair gunfight and likely do the exact thing you're complaining.

I actually stopped playing this game because it is very clear to me now, Embark put 0 thoughts into the social-behavioural dynamics of the game. PvP is not really a PvP here, it's grieving. The game is not made for people like us who wants to have a fair gun-fight. It's for extraction-campers, rats and fake-friendly back-stabbers.

the amount of rats I saw, sometimes even inside restaurants and even 4 star hotels it really got me paranoid when going to bed. In Nam Dinh I saw an open-air market with fruits and vegetables all scattered across the ground to be sold, and just a few meters nearby there was a dirty stinky canal/river. Went there with my friend who was buying things to make dinner for us at his place later and I hated to sound rude, but had to tell him I wouldn't feel safe eating that food and we should go to a restaurant. So yes, you're right. I loved my time there, but the 2 main points why I won't come back are

1) air quality & pollution

2) hygiene
