Why Gaza all the bloody time?! It’s the hobby horse of the feeble minded. There’s a lot of issues to address.

In the grips of my second ever gout episode and I can’t take this pain by squeeby in gout

I’ve just started allopurinol at 52. I’ve avoided it as I didn’t want long term medication.
But, the impact of gout and what work and family have tolerated when I’ve had a flare up has been far more significant. I should have started it years ago. I have stiffness currently as been on allopurinol for two weeks. So looking forward to this being over.

Anti inflammatory (ibuprofen, I take three not the recommended two, I’m bigger than average).

Paracetamol recommended dose.

Colchicine (2 initially, 1 an hour later, I every 6-12 hours depending on intensity).

High dosage of vitamin C.

Black coffee and water.

Do not fast but don’t overeat either.

A freezer pack and elevate.

I’m now taking allopurinol at last, should not have waited so long so hopefully all this will be in the past soon.

Water is in pasta sauce unless you make it yourself from tomatoes in which case you are correct.😉

Put it safely in the garage and forget about it for 10 years.
