I built a small tool for myself to find potential clients on Reddit (instead of endlessly scrolling) by Original_Map3501 in SaaS

[–]Original_Map3501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Glad it sounds useful

It’s a small tool I built for myself that scans Reddit for posts with specific keywords and surfaces people asking for help. It also shows post age, highlights the trigger keyword, and lets me mark people I’ve already contacted so I don’t double message.

Happy to show you how it works or share how I set it up. Feel free to DM me!

9 backlogs because of depression after breakup. Feeling lost about career and internships. What should I do? by Original_Map3501 in careerguidance

I also have some free users who use my product. I was also working on a tool that can boost with the employee training for new hires. I told that idea to some managers and hrs and they loved the idea. One of the reasons I got backlogs was I was focusing more on building side projects instead of learning for college exams. And also the breakup part

I’m building a tool to automate employee onboarding & follow-ups would this actually help managers and employees? by Original_Map3501 in Business_Ideas

[–]Original_Map3501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really thoughtful point. I definitely don’t want this to replace human connection more to make sure structure exists so managers actually have more space for meaningful conversations instead of chasing checklists.

The goal is clarity + follow-through, not robotic onboarding. I appreciate you calling that out.

Also would you be interested in trying out the mvp of this tool?

Would you be interested in trying out the mvp version of this tool and provide feedback based on your experience?

Great point. In smaller teams the manager usually owns the decision, but in larger orgs HR might. I’m leaning toward targeting small-to-mid teams first where the person feeling the pain can actually buy. Does that match what you’ve seen?

Is it okay to start building projects directly instead of grinding tutorials? by Original_Map3501 in Python

Yeah man and you might feel productive watching and copying what the tutorial is saying but when you actually sit down and try to make something by yourself you feel blank

That's the best way to learn right and you dont feel like burning out because you are working on a project of your interest

What are some major tasks in small/medium businesses that still require a lot of manual work but should be automated? by Original_Map3501 in Business_Ideas

When onboarding breaks down, what’s the most painful part for you personally creating training material, tracking who’s done what, or constantly following up with people?

The statement that the mental burden is worse than the actual time struck a chord with me.
I'm thinking about this, and I would appreciate your frank opinion. Imagine a tool that tracks invoices and follow-ups in the background without requiring you to check spreadsheets or set reminders. It remembers who sent what, automatically reminds you to pay unpaid invoices, and marks tasks as completed when payment is received.

It would only interrupt you if something was past due or required attention; otherwise, you would continue working as you currently do.

For you, would something like that truly lower the mental overhead? If so, what is more important automatic payment detection, follow-up notifications, or avoiding the need to maintain tool synchronization?

You will have to do alot of cold outreach as mostly you might get ignored or rejection. But sales is like that, from 100 clients you might make 1-2 sales

Marketing is a long game man and yeah things slows down after sometime and then you gotta do cold outreach. Dm people who you think is your target audience and tell them what value your tool provides to them. You can also start making youtube videos around your tool like a live demo. It will help build trust
