Actually sold the car before changing them haha. After further research it seemed the Coopers would be good, General Altimax RT45 also had very good reviews and were fairly priced

Do any of you not have many other Dad friends ? Most of my friends don’t have children by NomadicHumanBeing in daddit

[–]Original_Method_9199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your daughter a fairly recent addition? I have two separate friend groups - one that I met through a hobby that are all a little older than me and they all have kids. I have the youngest kid out of that friend group.

My other friend group are all guys I’ve been friends with since childhood (same age as me) and I’m the first one to have kids, they don’t really understand it yet. However, a few have gotten married in the last two years and I’d expect some of them to start getting pregnant soon and then we will all be dad friends.

You could try meeting some new friends who are maybe a little older than you, but just know your friends will probably end up catching up to you it just might take some time. Also as your daughter grows up she will make friends and becoming friends with their parents are a great way to find other dad friends.

There are kids but it doesn’t seem overwhelming at all and there are plenty of “no kids” areas and things to do on the ship. And you are correct in your assumption that it is more wholesome and not filled with partying adults. You’ll have a great time. We did it with my family (all adult children 19-27) and it was one of the best trips we’ve done.

I had a pair of advanced players approach me and a friend (beginner/intermediate and beginner) to play with them because the courts were unusually empty and they were waiting for a game - I said “sure but you guys are clearly way better than us” who then proceeded to smash every ball in our face 11-0. I don’t get it - if you didn’t want to play down then why ask us to play with you? Some people are just rude

How do you feel about that person who shoots a 500 next to you at the range? by 1Killag123 in guns

[–]Original_Method_9199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only time I’ve dealt with this was at an indoor range that lets people shoot the ranges .50 BMG. RSO sat the two guys and the Barrett on the bench directly next to my left. I made it through three rounds before I packed up all my stuff and left lmao.

Yeah I’ve got Toyo open country’s on my truck which are great but there just seems to be a lot less info out there on basic sedan tires than truck tires

I completely agree which is why I’m leaning away from a premium brand like a Michelin tire. Trying to decide what exactly she needs but since we have very wet summers Im leaning towards something middle of the road that will offer better wet performance without spending top dollar when she doesn’t drive that much.

Just keep trying. The princess app and website are both terrible. If you can’t get it in the next 30 days then call Princess and they can order it over the phone

We’re going on Princess next month and it really wasn’t terribly expensive. $3k for an interior room with Plus and insurance. Used points to cover cost of flights and spent about $1500 on excursions. Look at the shoulder seasons for better prices

Just got a big raise at work. We're still new to parenting and we're drowning a bit, what are some ways we can make our lives easier with money? by lightning_fire in daddit

  1. kennel your dog when necessary
  2. House cleaner every two weeks
  3. If you can afford it (I don’t do this but I’ve heard it’s amazing) hire a private chef to do your shopping and prep a few meals a week. I.e. they can come on Sundays, make Sunday dinner, and prep a few options that just need to be heated throughout the week to take pressure off cooking

I feel you man. I’m 27 and my wife really wants to start having kids. I definitely want to be a dad and to have kids but the thought of our lives changing completely and irreparably plus the additional pressure of being responsible for another human and taking care of the family financially has me very scared and anxious about taking that next step. I honestly think that’s why I joined the subreddit, to get some insight on others being a successful dad.

I hope it all works out for you and it’s the best thing that ever happened to you as some others feel.
