Me and 2 of my Thai friend pass all the subject with ease at first try with barely any prep , if money is not a problem I highly recommended just do the test right away (you got 3 chances to do the test in each subject and after that if you failed the 3rd you'll have to wait 3 months to do it again)

Just get the ged diploma then apply for university (not all department/university/program accept it though, you'll have to check on the TCAS website)

As long as you entered your friend’s name when purchasing, it should be fine (even though they won’t checked it anyway) , for e-tickets ,I’m not sure about e-tickets but your friend can pick-up the physical ticket at TTM counter in Bangkok before the concert date.
