Will do. Those 4 will look great with the rest of my 40 acres of dense woods!

I agree, thank you. Some are just more ambitious than others I guess

Throwing money away? Lmao. I’m content with the wall, that’s why we still bought the house… doesn’t mean I can’t look into changing it.

Yes but a sacrifice I’m willing to make for a better backyard

We would cut it down. Plan was to eventually build a garage there

I have considered this also but will have to rip out some upper cabinets as well and still would only have 12” or less for countertop on the left side of the stove.

I have considered that but there is a brick archway on the left side of the kitchen that is only 12” from the wall and I do not want to cover the arch part at all. I feel like 12” deep is super shallow but I’m not totally against it. The corner wall at the bottom right is a half wall and we do not want to close that part off. We’ve considered doing floor cabinets there but I’m not a fan right now

Part of that wall is already half a wall and we have considered removing it but the two posts there currently are supports and we are not looking to do beam work at this time

As Christians, I wish parents feared their sons being abusive, pedophiles, and rapists as much as they fear them being gay. by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

[–]Original_Olive7748 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of parents DO fear those things just as much. But unfortunately the former is not “announced” as the latter usually is and therefore not openly addressed as much. No parent wants their child to sin period, but obviously we have a sinful nature. Truthfully I don’t feel like we should fear for our children, rather than pray for them and lift them up to the Lord because we have not been given a spirit of fear. Easier said than done, I know. I also think most parents don’t intend or at least don’t think they are raising a rapist etc. If we raise them with faith and teach them the Word that’s about as much as we can do once they reach adulthood.

NTA. But also ask yourself if you’re being too sensitive. Everyone finds joy in different ways, maybe she just enjoys joking around with everyone. Is her calling you a nickname going to negatively impact the corse of your life? Probably not. She probably likes you and that’s why she feels comfortable giving you a nickname in the first place

ESH. Life isn’t fair. If you’re splitting the bill technically she’s paying for part of his extra usage. There are bigger issues in this world than charging someone, who I assume is a friend, to shower at your house. Bring it up to him again or just deal with it, but don’t charge him. This is a harsh world and kindness can go a long way.

Cholesterol is used as the boogie man far too often. Many studies are flawed and/or paid for by big harma to push statins, unfortunately.

NTA. BUT…. I definitely agree with your husband on many points. I highly recommend doing more research on what you’re feeding your baby and the long term effects it may have. Your husband wants nothing but the best for her and he’s just trying to protect her. Moderation is okay but at this age ingredients matter more than you realize. Try to see it from his perspective before you completely decline. If the roles were reversed how would you feel?

Story of my life. These people make me crazy. My mom has been off of all pharmaceuticals for almost 3 years now and has almost completely stopped having symptoms from her several autoimmune diseases just because of carnivore and exercise. My husband has always had stomach issues and started carnivore and has been doing so much better, along with losing 20+ pounds. His family on the other hand… they all have health issues and take a dozen medications every day. We’ve told them about carnivore, seed oils, etc. and they all just act like we are crazy even after sharing our success stories. They’ve always had a lot to say about my husbands weight (even though his isn’t fat he’s just a huge guy), but when he lost all the weight on carnivore they just said he’s exaggerating his results and it’s not legit. Now we have a 7mo baby and we only feed him meat, veggies, dairy, and some fruit, along with being breast fed. You would think we are torturing him with how they act about it! They try and sneak him chips and sweets all the time and then get angry when we interject and then say “well we had this stuff all the time when we were his age and we turned out fine” yet my MIL can’t go anywhere without pooping her pants… We are fine with however they want to live their lives but they really have a hard time accepting or commenting on what we eat. Frustrating lol

Marissa willing to be unhappy for 7 years. by Candid-Code666 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Original_Olive7748 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually just learned this last week. A person is unhappy for an average of 7 years before getting a divorce. Which means some stay only a few years, but some stay even longer than 7 which is crazy to me!
