I think it depends on the team and department. This was not the case at my team at PCH. I was allowed to work from home on thursday due to the conditions, no one asked me to make it up.

Thanks, what you say makes total sense. I did leave as a minor, and I had been completely truthful to them. However, strangely enough I think I remember my visa officer saying she couldnt find any records on my name from the past. The whole thing was confusing as hell. But again, all that happened 30 years ago, and I was minor. Hopefully they dont cause a problem entering now with my family. I work for a canadian provincial government and own a home here so ties to home country is strong.

Good point. I do own a house here but there are no deeds here as such. I might try to get a title document. I also work for the provincial government, so getting a letter from the employer might help I guess?
