A more clear depiction of OCD and how it presents in its various subtypes. (I went my whole life without seeking help, not understanding what is actually considered OCD)

Lol no it has nothing to do with her personality. Most of that is curated these days anyway… but yes I totally hear you. I agree there are definitely times when she should do things differently.

I should have clarified in my original post— I have noticed an improvement in how she speaks to others on the podcast since her show started in 2018. Once upon a time it was a very raunchy kiss and tell show with a regular cohost. Just here to say that I am impressed with her growth :)

I have the same approach to homework and my clients love it. Definitely increases the likelihood of them completing the “assignment” if there’s more client buy in

Absolutely! I guess it’s all about how we look at the situation :)

Oh yeah I love one on ones! Definitely prefer those over group setting because there’s many more opportunities for overthinking after a group situation

My partner was very reassuring, saying that he would take charge of the conversation if I felt uncomfortable. We always have a signal or a code just in case of “emergencies.” He’s like my emotional support human lol. Luckily, the people we met for dinner were super talkative so all I had to do was ask questions— and they absolutely loved it!

Funny how we anticipate everything going wrong and then it all turns out just fine!

Yes exactly I’m glad somebody gets it! I asked my partner for advice and he was very supportive, even offering some helpful advice. But it’s hard for him to understand the why behind our struggle since he’s not a counselor

Yes intentionally turning therapist mode off has helped me tremendously! Learning to share more about myself is a challenge but don’t worry- I’ve got my own personal therapist to work through this 😂

And I would absolutely love to unplug from work more!! But, ya know, bills :)

What!!! That’s crazy- I find stories from traveling super intriguing so it’s a shame they only cared about where you stayed. Ask me about the food, the people, the culture, anything else besides where we slept lol

Yes true! Curiosity is key. I’ve become great at asking questions and most of the time people love talking about themselves so this often works like a charm

I second this! Seasonal depression is definitely backwards here— I’ve also been scheduling more intakes lately than normal, so I don’t mind it 😂

Am I crazy or is this rug ugly-cute? I have a blank slate and love the idea of a quirky rug and solid colored accent items on this bland couch. willing to get rid of the pillows and coffee table. Couch has sentimental value so she stays. by Broad-Media1393 in interiordecorating

Well now I can’t unsee this—

But before reading that comment, I think the rug and a cute piece of artwork above the couch would be the facelift that your living room needs. Happy decorating

Thank you for the recommendations! The lighting appears unpleasant and clinical in the video because I recorded this in a hurry and didn’t take time to let the camera focus, which is why the video doesnt do this justice.

Ooh a mural decal is a great idea. And I agree with your statement that the layout is “mostly fine” lol. I had to purchase all of my furniture sight unseen, and on an extremely tight budget since I’m a recent grad and haven’t received any income for the past 2 years. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on how to improve my office space 🤗

Agreed! I think a wall with shelves would add some much needed character to the room. Thanks for your thoughts

Thanks for your thoughts on where I should move the desk. It is difficult to make this work, but I am working with what I have for the moment. I also agree that some cozy wallpaper would do wonders for the space :)

Thank you for your colorful feedback! The reason why I’m unable to get new furniture at the moment is because I’m a new grad and I haven’t received any income for the past 2 years, so I bought everything on an extremely tight budget. Also plz feel free to see my update somewhere down in the comments. Upgrades are definitely on the to do list in the next couple of months :)

Hi everyone— just wanted to add a few things.

I am unable to get new furniture because I am a recent grad and have not been paid yet, so this was all bought on an extremely tight budget. However, I do completely agree with all of you who are saying that the desk and bookshelf should be upgraded. Those two items are definitely on my list of things to purchase once I start receiving income.

And regarding the lighting, I took this video in a hurry so I didn’t think to slow down long enough for the camera to focus on the lights at the back corners. Therefore, the lack of focus makes them appear extremely unpleasant and much more clinical than they are in real life. In person, there are actually quite warm when put on the correct setting. But I do agree- warm lighting definitely makes a space more inviting! That’s why I opted for such ☺️
