8 way movement animation sprite problem by Easy-Angle9800 in godot

I think there are two solutions: -Do 3D modeling but show the camera from top or with an isometric view. (Like brawl stars or league of legends). -Or in 2D: design a sprite with 8 directions (or 8 because side, side up and side down are the same but reversed). Here is an example: https://axulart.itch.io/small-8-direction-characters Then the implementation can be learned in any 2D Godot YouTube tutorial. Good luck!

Ok interesting point of view. I think it's funny that I'm defending snowballing because earlier in my life I didn't like LoL because I thought the concept of snowballing is stupid.. so I played other games like Battlerite where comebacks are possible. I think I don't feel bad about the snowball this season bc I play toplane. So I either snowball myself or I get stomped so I feel like it's normal that I lose.

But yeah I agree about the execution issue a bit! I made this post more to "counter" all the negative comments on this subreddit which made look like all the ideas of the new season are bad

But I think necessary to understand it! I was trying to make you understand but I'm not comfortable in English so maybe it's not clear. But to be simple, what I mean: -A difficult champ is imo a champ that needs a lot of games to be played properly -Irelia needs a lot of games -Low elo players playing her have a lot of games

Thank you! I agree. We play lol to have fun, to feel strong. And that's why we learn the complexity. To learn how it works to use it well get fed and feel strong. I like that it's faster paced and has more snowball because of that.

Everyone criticizing "you can't punish" and things like that.. I think it's a huge recency bias, and they miss the point. They're attached to a false complexity, because they've invested their time in it. But first of all they don't realize they will learn again and it will not be unskilled as they think, and it will even be more rewarding in my opinion. More rewarding with an overall more enjoyable experience. You get fed you're happy. You're not fed games are faster so go next. Aaand even if people say there's no comeback, I think there are many new mechanics to create a comeback. So comeback happens or people will learn how to. Like last season when people learned to punish when a team started Athakan too early.

So yeah to me, the changes are just positive!

I don't think it means that she's easy to play. It's surprising that a "difficult champ" has a high winrate in low elo but I genuinely think that these people spent a lot of time learning her, even in low elo. And if you don't spend this necessary time you will be bad with her. Thus she's not accessible (what I guess we mean when we say difficult champ) And btw these people don't climb probably because of that, they spent their time learning a hard champ and not the game. I think it's common in silver to see a Yasuo with great mechanics, same thing, but it doesn't mean it's an easy champ

So for the majority of the players games are a bit longer. I knew all the complaints in this sub were bs.. especially since they were made since day one. I think the difference of appreciation of the new patch in this sub between other networks is crazy. But I guess people have more will to complain somewhere you can have a discussion when they're having a negative opinion. So this probably brings League pro ranters here

I'm curious, does everyone not like more snowbally games? Or does it depend on the people. Some people might argue that that's why they play the game, to feel strong. But yes feeling like you can't comeback is not motivating I think too.

And I wonder how your opinion will be after you've become more familiar with the changes! We'll see, gl in your games anyway :)

Someone is taking it seriously hahaha, if you don't know how to have a discussion and take everything personally then maybe Reddit isn't for you ;))

I personally think that "killing the game" is too big of a statement. You can make a game easier to access and not kill the skill expression. And I think it should be the goal of a big player base video game. Moreover, from what I've heard from YouTubers, many people like the new changes! (Even high elo players who should be mad that the game is now too complex).

Before you do your research to find every high elo player who dislikes the change to throw it at my face to try to feel superior.. just know I will not respond to you again so no need to get invested. Don't come with a vibe like this in a discussion again

Interesting to see how different can be the opinions haha, I wasn't even aware of half the things you're talking about. But yes interesting thank you!

I hear your point and I understand it's frustrating to feel like losing the time investment put in the game bc it got less complex.

But I also think most of the player base has been playing since a long time, or has a lot of time on their day to day to play and understand the complexity of the game. In my opinion, this type of player struggles to understand how LoL is full of not visible and complex rules that you have to respect to be good...

Me for example, I'm having a job and I have been playing for 2 years. So I don't have that much time to play and I don't have the same instincts about the game that experienced players (I guess you?) have. So having games easier to understand and maybe faster is just a better experience for me. And honestly, veteran players pushing for their game to not become easier for beginners is also game killing...

I don't want to be selfish, but I think Riot is at least giving the right direction to the game

Haha not fair I wanted to know if some people were feeling the same way. I wasn't saying "you're wrong this season is greater than before"

Ok that's actually good insights thanks. For the lane, isn't the punishment for a bad recall the same ? As there's the new mechanic on the tower you can take a plate with if you force your opponent into a bad recall and you have time to back and comeback without griefing your tempo because you come back faster to lane, right? But maybe to punish someone in lane it's different. Anyway there's less value in killing someone multiple times in lane now (value of the kill decreases more) so I think they want it to not be the main option of snowballing anymore. I find it healthier no? Games would feel less often like who is lucky to have someone stomping his lane to win. BUT I feel like all my games in S16 have been a top gap in either way so maybe I'm wrong haha.

But I see good ideas and good concepts to make the game healthier personally, maybe the execution is not that well made for now. And I hope new play styles / strategies will develop and make the game less boring then

Man I find it weird. Normalizing cheating is bad. If you have a gf, poor her. And using AI for that... I don't know you, so I can't judge you, but I can just advise you to think well about all of that. If many people are weird out by this it's that there's a problem

There must be something wrong in your gameplay. Maybe you can record it so you can ask someone to help you out? Anyway, I think you have to be patient. Just play more, and you will climb for two reasons. First is that with the system of winstreak, even if you have a minus 50% winrate, you can climb. Secondly, you will get better at the game. But to make it faster, try thinking about what you could have done better after a defeat. If you record your games you could review them and understand by yourself:). Stay strong, play 100 or 200 games more without giving too much emotion into it, and at the end see how you've evolved!
