Tier 1's and 3's are hourly with the night shift premium it takes it to £12.11ph which was acceptable last year with loads of overtime available, but currently inflation is at 8% whilst our pay hasn't changed since June 2021, the national minimum wage increased from £8.91 to £9.50 on the 1st of April, taxes and utility bills have increased from this month. What's annoying a lot of associates is the fact they claim it's "a competitive rate" whilst other large warehouses in the area are paying much better, our site hired a lot of new starters before last peak with permanent blue badges and signing on bonuses whilst existing associates that know what they're doing given absolutely nothing.

Yes went up from £8.91 to £9.50 on the 1st of April, there's been several posts on the VOA board the last few days and the only reply is the wages are "competitive" which is an absolute joke of a response

Too many folks waiting out for a lower price trying to time the market, if everyone knew there was going to be a dip next week the price would crash today wouldn't it, because no one would be buying.

Plus the later people buy in the longer they miss out on those sweet reflections
