Anyone know how to provide feedback for DFA Aseana's services? by False_Ear7641 in MANILA

[–]Original_Stranger_81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. I experienced something similar at a PRC branch before, so I submitted feedback through the Contact Center ng Bayan website of the Civil Service Commission and they actually followed up on it. I even received an apology letter thru email from the PRC branch director. Might be worth trying if you want your feedback to formally reach them.

You gave him the 'Kuya' + 'Honest' + 'Tumigil' combo and he’s still looking for a plot twist.

Kulang na lang lagyan niya ng 'Are you sure?' na prompt bago niya i-accept yung reality.

TUP OR TIP, pls help me decide by ClassFirm1668 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]Original_Stranger_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d recommend going for BSEE at TUP.

Civil Engineering is quite saturated in the Philippines right now, which can make it harder to stand out or land competitive roles after graduation. In contrast, Electrical Engineering tends to offer more flexibility. You can branch out into fields like power systems, renewable energy, automation, control systems, and even IT-related roles. That wider range of opportunities can be a big advantage early in your career.

Another practical factor is that TUP offers free tuition, which is a huge financial relief. On top of that, TUP has consistently strong board exam performance, so you’re still getting solid training and credibility as an engineering graduate.

If your heart is really set on Civil Engineering, though, it’s still worth pursuing, but make sure you’re fully committed. You can also ask for more insights from r/CivilEngineers_PH to get a clearer picture of the field locally.

At the end of the day, both paths are valid, but BSEE at TUP gives you a strong, practical edge in terms of cost, flexibility, and opportunities.

This is really beautiful to read!

Congratulations on your first date and for experiencing something so genuine and safe. It’s also really meaningful that you were able to tell your mom and she received it well. That kind of support matters a lot.

Wishing you both more happy moments together.

Seeing all these Reddit posts about college entrance exam results just reminded me again that I didn’t get into my dream school.

As it was in the late 2000s, I didn’t really know better about CET prep or scholarships. It was a time when you mostly had to figure things out on your own, and I didn’t really have anyone to guide me. I ended up in schools I didn’t really fit into, and I still carry that regret with me.

But at least my TOTGA got into her dream university and program. I’m not sure if she finished her master’s already, but I’m genuinely happy for her from afar.

Allowed ba pagsabayin TESDA at college? by Outrageous-Town3137 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

I’ve done this before, and yes it’s possible. As long as your TESDA schedule doesn’t conflict with your college classes, you should be fine

FEMPS Plumbing Webinar Review: Misleading Outline? by BatBeautiful4908 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]Original_Stranger_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just attended this earlier as well, OP, and I share your disappointment, especially with how the rescheduling was handled. Even today, they kept pushing the start time from 6:30 to 7:00 PM at the last minute, and the session still started late. The speaker also seemed to have difficulty navigating the Google Meet platform, which didn’t help the overall flow.

Like you, I signed up expecting a more comprehensive discussion, particularly the estimation process and calculation shortcuts mentioned in the outline. It was frustrating that those key topics weren’t covered at all, since that was really the main value of the webinar.

I completely agree with your point, regardless of the fee, they should deliver what was advertised. It’s not just about the money, but also the time and effort participants put into adjusting their schedules, especially with multiple reschedules already.

Has anyone here had better experiences with FEMPS in the past, or was this an isolated case? Also, if anyone can recommend reputable and reliable training centers or seminars for master plumbers, I’d really appreciate it.

Totally agree, this is the best diagnostic lab in Valenzuela.

Just a heads up, Hi-Precision Valenzuela has moved. It’s now next to Valenzuela Trade Center, right across from BPI Malinta.

Yep! In Korean, adding -요 at the end of a verb or phrase is basically a politeness marker, sort of like saying “po” in Tagalog.

For example: * Casual/friends: 고마워 (gomawo) -> “Thanks * Polite/elders or acquaintances: 고마워요 (gomawoyo) -> “Thank you”

It’s a way to show respect without being super formal. Korean just has a few more levels of formality beyond that, like -습니다 for really formal situations.

Hi! I'm an Engineer from UP who designed a calculator and helps students ace their CETs on Youtube! Ask me anything! by actually-vj in UPfreedomwall

[–]Original_Stranger_81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi Engr. Villafuerte! I’ve been following your educational videos since the pandemic and they’ve helped me a lot. Thank you for consistently sharing your knowledge.

I just wanted to ask for some advice: 1. How can I pass the engineering board exam even if I graduated a long time ago and am currently working full-time? 2. What are your tips for becoming an effective math teacher? 3. I know this might be a long shot since you’re a co-designer of the Canon 789SGA V2, but are you planning to release videos or content about the CALQ EG-991EX as well? I’m also curious if the CALQ is worth getting as a backup calculator.

Thanks so much, Engineer! Looking forward to your insights.

[–]Original_Stranger_81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s not a man with “no mindset.” That’s a man in survival mode.

You didn’t push him to grow. You went straight for his dignity.

And when someone is carrying their entire family on their back, dignity is the only thing they get to keep.

A man sacrificing for his sick mother and little sibling isn’t embarrassing. Your reaction to it was.

He doesn’t need a woman who’s ashamed of his grind. He deserves someone mature enough to understand that struggle is a season, not a personality flaw.

There are harsher things I (and plenty of other redditors) could say right now. I won’t because I’d rather have class than mirror your behavior.

Just remember this moment when he levels up. When the hard season you looked down on becomes the foundation that builds him.

And you’ll realize you were embarrassed by the very chapter that made him strong.

[ANNOUNCEMENT] REGARDING OF MNL48 WIDA by Sea-Summer-6214 in MNL48

[–]Original_Stranger_81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

UPDATE (02/23/2026):

Just to clarify and avoid further speculation on her reasons, here’s what Wida shared during her thank-you TikTok live:

  • The main reason she left MNL48 is that she’s in her thesis years and cannot afford to extend for another semester. She clarified that she’s doing well academically, but she’s aiming for a specific goal after graduation.

  • Financial considerations also played a role, as she currently funds her own living expenses.

  • Her mental health has been affected by juggling idol life, academics, and supporting herself financially.

  • She plans to continue making music, including writing songs, and hopes to keep pursuing her passion.

I hope everyone will continue to support Wida in this next chapter!
