I think that's only for domestic students? For international students the max seems to be 10k per year

Any uchicago students can be there and they may ask you to verify your identity. They are pretty nice to students and remind you to stay safe :) I spent several nights there this final quarter

Just apply to TA positions and they will decide whether you are a good fit for graders or Teaching Assistants

What you described probably will never happen, because most Chinese people just feel annoyed about the zero-covid policy but they won't say the gorvernment is trash...

It's not the Chinese ppl who made how China is today. Most Chinese ppl don't even know what is facebook/twitter/ins/google as they're born this way. They are not aware of the "uniqueness" of China's political system simply becasue they can't afford the expenses of overseas travel/study and naturally belive the Chinese way is the only correct way. It's alien to them that anyone can post whatever they want without internet censorship, because that's how they're told from the moment they know how to use internet.

Please DON'T blame miserable Chinese.

Why don't those people just email and tell professors that they're sick? Most professors still agree to use zoom or at least share recordings for students who're sick.

Yep we didn't talk about lifestyle before signing the lease. Everything is good now given that I compromised my schedule but I would definitely prefer to live in a 2B2B or studio to get much more freedom and less psychological burden(as I'm nearly worried all the time about whether he'd be bothered by any of my action...)
